Lightly-raced and showed promise in both starts last season. Well held on reappearance but should appreciate the drop in class and trip. Place possibilities.
Ran well over C&D in tougher race two starts back and then not disgraced in much better company last time. Dropped 2lb and class and looks a leading contender.
Lightly-raced gelding representing leading and in-form stable however hasn't lived up to expectations so far. Drops in grade but needs to see his races out much better.
Hasn't won since July 2016 but has dropped to a really low mark and ran into a place in a much stronger grade on turf last start. Only second start now on AW and given a leading chance in this company.
Goes well here having won a maiden and forgiven last run when stumbling and unseating. Not without hope she can lift her game on seasonal reappearance.
Former course winner who put up his best run for some time when going down narrowly at Wolverhampton. That was just his third start for his current trainer and looks a contender off the same mark.
Fairly consistent form this year for both Michael Appleby and current trainer but needs to show more off current mark and this trip hasn't suited in the past.
Just the sole win from 25 starts and dropped another 3lb following latest disappointment. Dropping to a good mark but needs to lift his game.
Up 5lb for AW win two starts back and not disgraced off lower turf mark. Takes a rise in class and tough ask from wide draw.
Lightly-raced and 8lb higher than win over 6f at this track. Needs to lift his game on two runs since and best watched on reappearance.
Form became regressive and tailed off on last two starts for Mark Johnston. Gelded since and hard to recommend on stable and seasonal debut.
Ran ok last time considering she bucked to post but this is tougher and she has been withdrawn since after getting loose on the way to post. Questions to answer.
17 race maiden who returned from a lengthy absence and a wind operation with a well beaten last over the C&D. Best watched at present.

Sir Roderic looked as though an overdue success wouldn't be far away with a good run in a stronger grade on turf and should be a leading contender providing he can translate that form onto this much different surface. Bouclier is proven at the track and ran her best race for her new stable last time and likewise looks on a handy mark. PTARMIGAN RIDGE also returns from a higher class on the turf and gets the verdict safe in the knowledge that this C&D suits him well.
- Ptarmigan Ridge
- Sir Roderic
- Bouclier
