Lightly-raced having won on debut on turf and only raced on the AW in four starts since. Well held in two runs in handicaps and possibly needs some relief from this mark.
Disappointing last time when hanging and run well below form. Makes AW debut and slowly falling in the weights but others preferred.
Formerly with Roger Charlton and made a very good debut for new yard when stumbling at the start before running on well in a stronger grade on the turf. That was a problem previously and although yet to race here has acted well on other AW tracks.
On a good mark but form has been regressive and despite drop in grade he hasn't shown enough in two starts back.
Winner over C&D in 2016 off just 3lb higher and really caught the eye when badly hampered on first run back since gelding operation. Should have been involved there and can be competitive back at this track.
Has a very good record over this C&D but last win here came off 9lb lower. Will appreciate return to this track but others look better handicapped.
Still open to improvement on the AW and will appreciate the return to this C&D which he posted back-to-back wins over in November.Just 2lb higher at present and should be competitive.
Raced well over C&D three starts back and gets a welcome drop in the weights. However well beaten on seasonal reappearance and may need the run again.
Hasn't won since November 2016 and despite falling mark he doesn't jump off the page as a winner waiting to happen after latest well beaten run.
4lb higher than when causing a surprise over the C&D in a similar contest following wind surgery. Blew the start last time on the turf and the run can be upgraded. Should be in the mix again.
Won on debut over this C&D but only raced on turf since. Lightly-raced and blinkers sparked a career best last time so should be competitive if they work again.
Two wins from 29 starts on turf and now makes a belated AW debut. Can be a bit inconsistent but ran well last time and gets a drop in grade. Could be competitive but question mark on this surface.
Lightly-raced and looks as though things are starting to come together with a luckless run on the turf last time. Career best came when just failing to get up over the C&D and looks very well handicapped.
Impressive record over this C&D and should be competitive from just 2lb higher than last win. However all five wins have come in one grade lower than this and others preferred.
Forecasts
Blazed (5/2), Pilkington (11/2), Pea Shooter (8/1), Casterbridge (8/1), Suwaan (9/1), Primo's Comet (10/1), Computable (10/1), Desert Sport (16/1), Royal Mezyan (20/1), Grandad's World (20/1), Wediddodontwe (25/1), Windforpower (28/1), Tylery Wonder (33/1), Apricot Sky (50/1)
An open looking contest where Blazed will prove popular after a running on third on stable debut and gets a welcome drop in class. There's just the worry he continues to blow the start so preference is for PRIMO'S COMET who likewise will be running on strongly and just needs the break to fall for him after being out of luck last time. Pea Shooter and Pilkington should also be leading contenders with form over the C&D.
- Primo's Comet
- Blazed
- Pea Shooter
