Made good progress two out before pecking on landing in Limerick mares' chase when eventually finishing fourth of eight beaten 9L last month. Needs to eek out a bit more here.
Course winner that has also won over the trip. No impression and a little sketchy at times in a Thurles mares' beginners chase when last seen in October. May need the run on return.
Well beaten and never nearer on chasing debut in a Limerick beginners last month and may find this a tough ask.
Cork regular who was beating all before her last autumn hitting a handicap hurdle high of 135 before it all fell apart with a banned substance in November and pulling up in a Grade 3 contest when last seen in December.
Promising chasing debut in a Wexford beginners when finishing third of eight beaten over 7L last month. Encouraging start and more to come here.
Has generally disappointed in her hurdling career but it can be taken that the daughter of Martaline will be well briefed on chasing debut for powerful owner/trainer.
Distance winner who is without a win in three chase starts to date and being nought from nine starts on good ground is a negative.
Third of seven behind the consistent Lord Erskine before a heavy defeat in a Limerick handicap hurdle last month. Market likely to reveal expectations on chasing debut.
Won on debut at Cork in a 21 runner maiden hurdle and still in contention when blundering at the last in a Wexford novice hurdle before a dismal last of eight at Galway when last seen in October. Best watched on chasing debut.
Course winner who kept on well under pressure when finishing second of 10 beaten a head by Screaming Rose at Roscommon last month. Will look to continue improvement here.
Nothing of any note in a number of dismal point-to-point efforts since the turn of the year and unlikely to be troubling the judge on chasing debut.
Failed to build on a win in a Cork maiden hurdle last month with a 22L defeat in a Listed contest won by Dawn Shadow in April. Not written off but needs to tidy up her jumping.
Made a terrible blunder at the second on chasing debut in a Downpatrick beginners last month eventually pulled-up failing to recover from the error.
Forecasts
Karalee (11/8), Ask Susan (7/2), The Kings Baby (6/1), Special Diamond (8/1), Granny Biddy (12/1), Moonlight Escape (12/1), Jaime Sommers (16/1), Oakfield Rose (50/1), Bee A Beneficiary (50/1), Native Lass (66/1), Athloman Cottage (66/1), Shes Flat Tothemat (66/1), Miss Bemo (125/1)
The Willie Mullins-trained KARALEE has generally disappointed in her hurdling career but it can be taken that the daughter of Martaline will be well briefed on chasing debut and is likely to be popular in the market. The consistent Granny Biddy deserves a change of luck following two disappointments towards the end of the year and can hit the frame here with The Kings Baby and Michael Bowe's Jaime Sommers likely to battle for the remaining place.
- Karalee
- Granny Biddy
- The Kings Baby
