In good form last year following up a couple of good ground wins with a second at Worcester (2m7f, good) in July. Cheekpieces worn for the first time that day are absent on his first outing since.
Winner over C&D on good ground last time out. Raised 6lb for that success and is unbeaten in two starts at this venue.
Struggled in point-to-point company earlier this year and pulled up in a hunter chase at Perth (3m, good) last time out. Drop in trip should suit on return to handicaps.
Handicap hurdle winner at Sedgefield (2m5f, good) in April. Could finish only fourth over 3m at Southwell subsequently and this drop in trip should suit back over fences having won off higher marks in the past.
Ran well to finish fourth to Sharney Sike on good ground over C&D last time out. Work to do to reverse that form but likely to run his race once more.
Sole Rules success came in a 3m1f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (good-to-soft) last November. Struggled in the main since and debuting for a new yard in this.
Second run back following wind surgery when finishing 6L third on good ground over C&D last time out. Races off the same mark here and interesting if repeating that effort.
16 race maiden who finished 1L second over C&D on good ground last time out. That one of his better efforts but likely to find at least one too good in this.
Maiden after 14 starts under Rules and well held over 3m here last time out. Drop in trip looks likely to suit.
Held chances having made most of the running when falling at the last at Sedgefield (heavy) over an extended 2m in April. Struggled on better ground there subsequently and others have more obvious chances in this.
Sole success in 32 Rules starts came over hurdles here nearly three years ago. Held on his return to Rules racing last time and others make more appeal.
Dual chase winner but struggled under Rules in 2017 and it's been a similar story in a couple of point-to-point races this spring. Races from out of the handicap in this.
