Has won twice over this trip but recent runs have suggested he might be in the handicapper's grip at present.

Just one win since his maiden success in 2015 but returned to form with a good second of 13 at Ripon last time. Could be more to come this season and not ruled out.

Prolific in 2016 winning three of his starts including a C&D win and a Listed win. Struggling from his revised mark last year but has worked his way back down to a workable mark and capable of going well here.

Won his first three starts in good style but he's struggled since and badly out of form when last seen at Ripon. Has had a wind op since his last run and there's a fair chance he might be able to bounce back this year. Goes in soft and has claims.

Ended a very long losing run at Doncaster last time and still very well-handicapped on old form but no guarantee he will back that run up here and he's down the order on jockey bookings.

C&D winner who bounced back to form at Ripon last time out. Consistency is a big concern though and he's never won from a mark this high.

A winner at Goodwood last year over 5f and stays this trip fine but her form since that effort has been well below par and offered no encouragement at Newbury when last of 13 in May. Needs to bounce back.

Has largely been below form for this yard and he was disappointing here last time out. Steps back up in trip but still above his highest winning mark.

A winner on debut at Windsor and was a winner when trained in France subsequently. Respectable effort at Ascot last time and booking of De Sousa is a positive given he may come on for that run. Wears first-time tongue-tie.

Age: 7|  Weight: 8-7| J: Raul Da Silva| T: Ian Williams| OR:  87| D

Has seven wins from 37 starts but there's a suspicion the ground may have gone against him here and he's shown very little in three runs this campaign.

One win from eight starts for this yard. Running well on AW this winter and he can be forgiven his run last time when drawn on the wrong side at York. Wears a first-time tongue-tie and has place claims.

Age: 9|  Weight: 8-6| J: J P Sullivan| T: David Drinkwater| OR:  86| CD

Each of his last three wins have come over C&D but he's only won once since 2015. Ran with some promise at Newbury last time and well-handicapped on old form so can't be ruled out.

Not won since the start of 2017 and while he's on a fair mark on old form, he's yet to as much as place in 16 turf starts.

A winner at Haydock in testing ground last year but rather hit and miss since. Well beaten at Doncaster when last seen ans still above his last winning mark.

Has won twice for this yard, both over 6f with cut in the ground. Well drawn here but needs to bounce back from two poor runs this season.

A better horse on AW than he is on turf and handicap mark still doesn't reflect that. Well beaten at Pontefract last time and others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Aces (11/2), Al Qahwa (11/2), Brian The Snail (6/1), Shanghai Glory (7/1), Watchable (7/1), Teruntum Star (8/1), Boy In The Bar (12/1), Ashpan Sam (12/1), Reputation (12/1), Quench Dolly (16/1), Holiday Magic (20/1), George Dryden (25/1), Manshood (25/1), Russian Realm (33/1), Compas Scoobie (40/1), Tavener (50/1)

Verdict

It might be worth taking a chance on BRIAN THE SNAIL who was frustrating to follow last year but has had a wind operation and may improve. Al Qahwa looks like David O'Meara's first-string and should run well while Shanghai Glory is back on a nice mark and may be capable of bouncing back.
