Three times a C&D winner. Set a steady tempo when winning at Kempton (7f, AW) off a 6lb lower mark last week. This requires plenty more and is likely to face opposition for the lead from a wide draw.

Was winning for the third time over C&D when taking a handicap here 17 days ago. Up 6lb for that but still well handicapped on old from and every chance of another bold showing.

Won here over C&D three starts back and did a bit too much too soon when third here off this mark last time. Riders claim certainly helps here and a player once again if settling better.

Was having first run for this yard when making a return at Lingfield (6f, AW) last month. capable of this sort of mark and will have each way claims if he's come on from that return.

Been in fairly good form at this level of late. Drop back to 6f didn't suit at Lingfield (good) last time. This trip more suitable and makes tapeta debut.

First run for eight months on stable debut when a very close second at Ayr (1m, good to firm) last week. Every chance of going one better today if coming on for that run.

Drop back to this trip did the trick when winning over C&D 17 days ago. 5lb higher today which makes life tougher and not the most reliable to back that up.

First run for this yard when a fair fourth at Kempton (7f, AW) last time. Dangerous mark on a going day and if able to build on that last run will be a big player here.

Only one win now in 29 starts and took a step backwards last time over C&D when well beaten. Dropped another 2lbs but hard to fancy at present. Races from out the weights.

27-race maiden who needs to find improvement from somewhere. Often slowly away and never nearer eighth over C&D last time. Races from out of the handicap.

Only one win from 14 starts (here) and has had some big gaps between races suggesting all has not been well. Once again is likely to need to the run here from a wide draw. Out the weights.

Big prices and beaten a long way on last three starts. Impossible to make a case for until showing much more and races from out the weights here.

Forecast

Coviglia (9/4), Final Attack (3/1), Caledonia Laird (4/1), Lord Murphy (7/1), Viola Park (12/1), Dear Bruin (14/1), Princess Way (20/1), Rising Sunshine (25/1), Canadian Royal (25/1), Rapid Rise (40/1), Rock Of Monaco (66/1), Percy Toplis (100/1)

Verdict

Coviglia ran well at Ayr on stable debut last time and is a player once again if able to back that up. Dear Bruin will be suited to a return to this trip and is a lively each way player. Princess Way is another with strong claims. The selection though is CALEDONIA LAIRD who was a good winner over C&D last time and is still well handicapped on old form. He can go in again.
  1. Caledonia Laird
  2. Coviglia
  3. Dear Bruin
