Highly tried in five chasing contests since the turn of the year without success, returns to hurdling and takes a large tumble in class here for leading stable.
Well beaten and never nearer in three hurdle starts since January including a 41L defeat at Punchestown last month. Big drop in class here and worth a market check.
Found to be coughing after pulling up in a Punchestown handicap hurdle in February. Possibly best watched on return to the track.
Won a Novice hurdle at the Galway festival on seasonal debut in August last year but form somewhat tailed-off towards the end of the year. Well beaten on seasonal return behind Neverushacon at Killarney earlier in the month.
Winner on the Flat for John Gosden and reached a mark of 82. Won on debut for leading stable at Galway in September before a gallant second of six behind Mengli Khan at Navan when last seen in November. Likely to be popular in the market here.
Rock-solid form in France and purchased for Gigginstown Stud in 2016. Won a 2m maiden at Thurles in October before disappointing on return at Punchestown last month. Possible each way claims given the company.
Smart performer for William Haggas, appeared to have lost way having moved to this yard off a layoff of more than 600 days but bounced back in spectacular fashion as winner of valuable 1m4f Leopardstown handicap last seen over hurdles in September.
Win and a place on the ground puts the eight-year-old daughter of Kayf Tara firmly in the mix here for leading stable.
Distance winner that lost her way a little towards the end of last year suffering heavy defeats at Thurles and Leopardstown. Not dismissed but has to bounce back here.
Not seen for over two years before reappearing in a Leopardstown bumper over 2m4f in December last year and subsequently well beaten earlier this month in a Roscommon bumper. Hard to fancy.
Course winner that has also won over the trip but is completely out of form currently over the larger obstacles and last time out in a Killarney hurdle beaten 21L. Others preferred.
Consistent 96-rated Flat handicapper for the Hills family at his best in 2015 but has not taken to his new surroundings and hard to construct a case for on hurdling debut.
Forecasts
Good Thyne Tara (13/8), Stratum (7/2), Housesofparliament (7/1), Lesley Dawn (10/1), American Tom (12/1), Hurricane Ben (12/1), Wonder Laish (14/1), Vengeful (14/1), Arcenfete (25/1), Eagle Lion (33/1), Another Cyclone (50/1), Xinbama (100/1)
The Willie Mullins-trained STRATUM is taken to land the opener from the front here to follow up on two promising hurdle starts including a second of six behind Mengli Khan at Navan when last seen in November. Stablemate Good Thyne Tara and the interesting Wonder Laish can hit the frame while Vengeful deserves consideration who should improve on his run at Punchestown last month.
- Stratum
- Good Thyne Tara
- Vengeful
