Twice a winner with some cut in the ground last year, then quite highly tried on final start when a little disappointing. Appeals as the sort to keep progressing this year and if fit for seasonal reappearance, may have a say in matters.

Tries hard in her races and did so again when just touched off by Voi over C&D here on latest start. Up another couple of pounds for that but clearly no issue with conditions and should go well again.

Still appears to be on a fair Flat mark if her hurdles exploits are anything to go by, and worth another try at this trip after a staying on effort over slightly shorter at Yarmouth last time.

Just got the better of All My Love over C&D last time out (by a nose, 1lb worse off today) and has been a model of consistency for some time now. Might need a bit more off this revised mark but will try her hardest and could be up to the job.

Too keen for her own good latest, and that, plus the heavy ground, resulted in a well below par effort. Fairly enough handicapped if the tongue tie works but a bit to prove at present, and may require a drop in grade to get on the scoresheet.

Not seen out since August last year, and has changed trainer twice in that time. Can go well fresh, so absence not necessarily an issue, but something to prove after a poor effort when last seen. Best watched unless market says otherwise.

Went close at Chelmsford on latest start and looks fairly handicapped on that. This will be her first start on turf but looks a slow learner and might just be getting the hang on things now. Every chance if able to translate her sand form.

Verdict

There's every possibility, with more thunderstorms around over the weekend, that this meeting could be run on very different ground to what many were declared on, and it makes winner finding tricky. VOI keeps on rolling in her races, and has a lovely trait of trying her hardest, and that, plus the fact she won't mind a bit of cut, might see her home again in front. Frown is progressing and if she can translate her form to turf, would be a threat. Great White Shark won't mind any rain either and if ready to go on her first run of the year, may go close.
  1. Voi
  2. Frown
  3. Great White Shark
