Closely related to the 2m3f hurdle winner Buffalo Ballet, but has struggled in both starts in bumpers, so looks likely to need more time.
2

17/2
Unraced second foal out of the very talented bumper/Flat winner Turbo Linn. Tongue tied on debut, but most definitely a horse to note for a trainer who took this race with Heartasia in 2017.

9/4
Beaten 13L (third) on debut in this race in 2017, but took a small step forward when finishing a 3L runner up to Secret Escape at Perth in August (soft). Off since, but considered given her connections.
Cost €10,000 as a three-year-old and shaped well on debut at Sedgefield last month beaten less than 1L (third) by It's O Kay; runner up Dollys Destination has won since.
Not exactly bred for racing over 2m, and unsurprisingly hasn't achieved anything in a couple of spins in bumpers so far. Wears the first time tongue tie today.

Half-sister to bumper winner Tom Lamb, and the latest filly out of a fine family line. Shaped okay on debut at Hexham a fortnight ago (fifth), but a line through the winner gives her plenty to find with Whiteoak Fleur.
Unraced second foal by Scorpion out of the 2m-2m6f hurdle winner River Alder. Half-sister to the 1m4f Flat and 2m6f hurdle winner River Icon, so worthy of market inspection on debut.

33/1
Malinas filly who was well beaten on debut at Hexham recently (66/1), finishing fifth, just a single place in front of Emma Lamb; shouldn't be good enough.
Unraced 11th foal out of a bumper winner (Liss Rua). Cost €8,000 as a three-year-old and is also a half-sister to various winners including Pym and God of The Kop (bumpers). Stable not known for winners in this sphere, but noteworthy.

Miss Hamda34

25/1
Beaten by Whiteoak Fleur at Sedgefield last month on debut for this trainer (previously with John Weymes), so further progress is required.

Forecasts

Rubytwo (9/4), Keep The River (5/2), Whiteoak Fleur (4/1), Iamnolady (17/2), Lissen To The Lady (10/1), Emma Lamb (12/1), Miss Hamda (25/1), Lady Babs (33/1), Accost (33/1), Bell Ofthe Bongate (50/1)

Verdict

Whiteoak Fleur sets the standard on what she achieved at Sedgefield last month (form franked since), and she rates as the most likely winner, but will clearly be well found in the market. However, there are a few newcomers to keep a close eye upon based upon their respective pedigrees. These include Lissen To The Lady, Keep The River, and the sporting selection IAMNOLADY. Susan Corbett took this race with Heartasia in 2017 (6% strike-rate in bumpers since 2011; 5 from 87), but as this mare is out of the smart bumper/Flat performer Turbo Linn, we're prepared to take a chance at small stakes in a far from deep contest.
  1. Iamnolady
  2. Whiteoak Fleur
  3. Lissen To The Lady
