11/4
13-race maiden who jumped a lot better last time. Yard do well here with their lesser lights and possible they have found the right race, trip and ground this time.

11/4
Without a win in three years but backed from 11/1 down to 3/1 last time. Never settled into a jumping rhythm on Warwick but these easier obstacles may suit.

Red Pennyt51
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-7| J: Bryony Frost(3)| T: J D Frost| OR:  94
11/2
Not badly handicapped on her 2016 form. Will be fitter for last month's return over an inadequate trip, but she left the impression she was well below her best.

Longstanding maiden in point-to-points and under Rules. His form figures tell you all you need to know, but this quirky track can sometimes inspire this type.

Age: 11|  Weight: 10-3| J: A Glassonbury| T: S Woodman| OR:  76
12/1
Front-running 29-race maiden who reserves his best for this track. Good effort over shorter last time and he is usually more effective on this quicker ground.

8/1
Inconsistent performer whose two best efforts in the past year have come here. Returns from a break with the quicker ground in his favour.

Sole success came on heavy ground over an extended 2m7f at Chepstow in March 2016. Probably best watched from 2lb out of the weights.

Forecasts

Never Learn (11/4), Kilmurvy (11/4), Roparta Avenue (11/4), Quick N' Easy (5/1), Red Penny (11/2), Hardtorock (8/1), What Larks (10/1), Lord Aldervale (12/1)

Verdict

This will take little winning but few of these have the attitude or progressive profile to place your faith in. KILMURVY was backed to do better last time but he made mistakes on a track where it is important to get into a good rhythm. He has his quirks but this track brings out the best in these sorts and at his best he would be a class above these. Never Learn is feared over a new trip on this ground, but Roparta Avenue has been harshly treated for his last run.
  1. Kilmurvy
  2. Never Learn
  3. Roparta Avenue
