Goes well here and reeled off back-to-back wins over C&D on fast ground last year, before completing the hat-trick at York when 8lb lower. Has won when fresh. Not beyond improvement and needs some, but well worth consideration.
Won over 1m4f (firm) at this meeting last year, from today's mark. Has not enjoyed a good start to 2018, being well below form on his last two starts in particular, but he could be a different proposition back in this grade.
Better on the All Weather than on turf, where he has made the frame just once from six attempts (that came on fast ground over 1m3f last year). Never really involved when 5½L seventh on his reappearance and more is needed.
Got the better of a tight finish over 1m2f (good to firm) at Windsor last time, when 2lb lower. May still be open to further progress and enters calculations, although consistency has not yet proved to be his strong suit.
Best form on good or slower ground, though he has run well once on good to firm. Was beaten 2L from 7lb higher over 1m3½f here in September, having won over 1m4f at the track prior to that. Chance at the weights if he can produce his best.
Won a Chelmsford maiden over this trip in August, stays a little further and acts on fast ground. Not beaten far from this mark at Newcastle on his return to action earlier in the month and should be spot on for this. Unexposed. Claims.

Forecasts
Nayel (5/2), Karawaan (5/2), Teodoro (7/2), Sofia's Rock (5/1), Master Singer (11/2), Breden (8/1), Nicholas T (14/1), Azari (25/1)
KARAWAAN catches the eye at the foot of the weights after a good reappearance run, which should have blown off any cobwebs. He is unexposed and could make progress this term. Course specialist Teodoro is very much respected, but it will be some feat if he is able to successfully concede 13lb to the selection. Nayel can't be ruled out, while Breden also makes some appeal.
