Winner of five races who ran well to be third of 15 over C&D on his latest outing when he was favourably drawn. Not quite so lucky in that respect this time, but runs off the same mark and enters calculations.
Won three times in 2016, but has drawn a blank since. Blew the start when behind Above The Rest over C&D last time, but is the better drawn of the two on this occasion and can figure if getting away on terms with the others.
Experienced campaigner who has won nine races. Well held in a hot Ascot handicap last time, but earlier efforts give him prospects. Draw not ideal.
Battle-hardened sort who ran well for a long way over C&D, not far behind Above The Rest, on latest start. Should give another decent account with that first run of the season under his belt.
Approaching the veteran stage, but is a C&D winner who was just behind Above The Rest at this venue last time. Meets that rival on the same terms and is ideally drawn if breaking well.
Won twice last year and was returning from a long absence when finishing a highly-promising fourth of 27, with Shady McCoy well behind, in a competitive handicap at Ascot in April. Up 1lb, but is progressive and lightly-raced.
Had several of these rivals behind when winning over C&D two starts ago, but struggled off 1lb higher at York on his next outing. May be able to bounce back on his return to a track which clearly suits.
Had the widest stall of all when a most creditable fifth to Baraweez over C&D last time. Has a 6lb pull, but the draw has been unkind again.
Good second over 6f at Newmarket in April, but was well held at York last time. Needs to bounce back off a 2lb lower mark.
Did well to overcome a tricky draw when winning over 7f at this venue on her latest outing and has been hit with a 4lb rise. Room for improvement, however, given that was her first run of the season.
Produced arguably his best performance when third in the Ascot handicap in which Sabador was fourth. Runs off 1lb higher and will be a threat to all if reproducing that effort.
Stable companion of The Feathered Nest who won over C&D last season and probably needed his reappearance run at this track earlier this month. Has something to find with several of these rivals on that form.
Forecasts
The Feathered Nest (4/1), Sabador (4/1), South Seas (5/1), Baraweez (7/1), Sound Advice (7/1), Muntadab (9/1), Sea Fox (11/1), Calder Prince (14/1), Above The Rest (25/1), Ower Fly (25/1), Penwortham (33/1), Shady Mccoy (33/1)
Baraweez beat several of these rivals when winning recently over C&D, but the revised weights and different draw could throw up an altogether different outcome. Of those than contested that race, Sound Advice may come out on top this time if getting away well from stall one, but Sea Fox and SABADOR bring excellent recent form into this contest and look the main players. The latter is lightly raced and has the more scope for improvement, so he may be able to turn around Ascot placings. The Feathered Nest likes this track and has each-way claims.

- Sea Fox
