1/1
Dual bumper winner that has shown ability over hurdles, including last month on first start after wind operation when ½L second over C&D. Likely to go close again.

Mon Port362
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: R Johnson| T: O Murphy| D
13/8
Improved in four bumper runs last year, duly scoring in a common canter at Warwick when last spotted. Has joined Olly Murphy and gets the champion jockey for hurdles bow.

St Patrick's Dayv12
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Adam Wedge| T: J R Jenkins| OR:  101
50/1
Signs of talent in maiden/novice company over hurdles, well held over this C&D earlier in the month in a handicap. Plenty to find it seems now.
4
Horse silk
25/1
Has looked fairly modest in maiden over C&D and at Towcester so far, needs to improve significantly back here and looks an unlikely winner.
5

Theydon Parkp54
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Reed(5)| T: M Roberts| OR:  107| C
9/1
Often travels well but now 0-16 over hurdles and the lack of a response to pressure has proved his undoing in the past.
Modest maiden on the Flat, has joined Caroline Bailey ahead of this first start over timber. Should find a couple of these too strong.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: B G PowellWS
13/2
Dual winner who was rated 94 on the Flat when trained by David Lanigan, tailed off at Kempton in February on hurdles bow, though did travel with purpose for a long way and has undergone wind surgery since.

Lion Rouge48
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: T J O'Brien| T: S Edmunds
20/1
Not a lot to shout about in French claiming hurdles before joining this yard, check in the market on British bow but others more likely.

Forecasts

Hatcher (1/1), Mon Port (13/8), Kasperenko (13/2), Theydon Park (9/1), Lion Rouge (20/1), The Captain (25/1), Warrior Prince (40/1), St Patrick's Day (50/1)

Verdict

Hatcher showed improved form over C&D last time out having undergone wind surgery and sets the standard over timber on that effort but there's much to like about MON PORT on debut for Olly Murphy. He sauntered to victory in a bumper at Warwick a year ago and will surely have a future in this sphere. Kasperenko shaped with some promise on his hurdling bow at Kempton in February and may do better having undergone a wind op since.
  1. Mon Port
  2. Hatcher
  3. Kasperenko
