Finished last of nine when a 50/1 chance on her debut at Nottingham over 1m2f. Raced well off the pace and was never really a threat; looks one for the longer-term.

Showed much improved form after her winter break when taking the runner-up spot in a small field at Ascot last time (winner showed more experience). Will be running on a quicker surface here for the first time and may need further.

Given a considerate introduction at the backend of last year at Newmarket (7f, good/soft) but at the same time showed that she had ability. Comes back from a break now and looks as though she will be suited by 1m+; improving sort.

Trainer not really got going yet this year but introduces a nice filly here who cost 110,000 guineas as a yearling. Looks as though this trip will suit on pedigree (half-sister to 1m2f winner) but may need this; market worth noting.

Yard 0/31 at this course in the past five years and hardly known for debut winners in this sphere. Half-sister to useful 1m2f winner Al Neksh with the dam a winner at 1m4f; may well need a greater test of stamina.

Could hardly have a better pedigree and she made a decent start to her career at Ascot (7f, good/soft) despite needing the experience. Never really a threat to the leaders she should improve here back from a break if ready to go.

There was promise amongst her inexperience at Thirsk on her debut and she's in excellent hands. Her debut came over 7f but she should be suited by this step up to 1m and looks open to improvement on her second start.

Certainly showed the benefit of having raced as a two-year-old when making her reappearance at Newmarket (7f, good). Looks the type to keep on progressing with racing despite not having made the frame yet; this 1m trip should suit.

Certainly wasn't a cheap yearling at 150,000 guineas she's a sister to the winner at up to 1m2f Apres Midi and closely related to the useful 1m winner Middle East. Stable are capable with this sort and worth watching in the market.

Sea The Stars filly who is a half-sister to several winners including the smart Havana Gold. Promising first effort when runner-up at Newbury (7f, good/soft) although showed more speed than stamina there; should be capable of winning in this sphere.

Trainer not known for producing winning debutantes in this discipline and this Sir Percy filly may be one for the longer term. Half-sister to 7f winner Ashford Island; dam also a winner over that trip.

Trainer has a decent record with debutantes and at this track. Intense Focus filly who cost €20,000 as a yearling; half-sister to 1m2f winner Lime And Lemon. Dam unraced but a half-sister to the smart Lord Shanakill; one to note in betting.

Agrotera (85/40), Solar Gold (5/2), Lady Momoka (7/2), Margie's Choice (8/1), Private View (10/1), Bella Ragazza (12/1), Elenora Delight (16/1), Solar Echo (25/1), Four White Socks (33/1), Udzungwa Forest (40/1), Alizeti (40/1), Verdigris (50/1), Givepeaceachance (50/1), Vampish (100/1)

Verdict

Quite a mixed bag here with none of the field having much experience with a fair few looking as though they will improve. Solar Gold caught the eye on her debut at Newbury and appears one of the more likely types along with Agrotera and Alizeti both of whom have shaped as though they will improve. Lady Momoka comes from a stable that have a good record in this race but she might need this outing and MARGIE’S CHOICE showed plenty on her debut from excellent Gosden yard to think that she can take this. Private View is another who should be noted in a race that looks worth watching for the future.
  1. Margie's Choice
  2. Solar Gold
  3. Lady Momoka
