Makes her debut (price fell from yearling to two-year-old by £7,500) but looks to have a decent pedigree; half-sister to several winners. Dam was also a juvenile 1m winner; just the second two-year-old runner of the season for trainer.

Makes her second start having been an expensive breeze-up purchase (360,000 guineas) and produced a promising first effort (slow away). The form looks strong (second has already won) and she should improve on her third place now.

Appeared to offer something to work on from her debut but was very green and expected to know more this time around. 66/1 for her debut and with a wide draw at Chester she should be able to win a novice/maiden.

Half-sister to several winners by Zebedee who finished last on her debut at Nottingham on quick ground. Did lead until 2f out there suggesting that she has some ability but others make more appeal in this.

Dam is an unraced half-sister to eight winners in America and this is the first two-year-old winner of the season for the yard. Cost £50,000 as a juvenile at a recent breeze-up sale and one of the more likely debutantes.

Yard yet to have a juvenile winner this season (0/3) but this one looks an interesting newcomer out of a maiden dam who is a half-sister to a high class winner (Ali-Royal). Trainer's two-year-olds are usually better for the run though.

11/2
The most experienced in this field who made a first promising start to her career at Newmarket (5f, good) but failed to build on that outing last time in very different conditions (5f, heavy). Remains open to improvement under better conditions.

Yard have had a two-year-old winner from their only representative this year but this late April foal may need a little time. Has some winning relations in her pedigree and is worth noting in the market.

Forecasts

Come On Leicester (4/9), Kadiz (11/2), Elieden (8/1), Implicit (9/1), Superstition (16/1), Lucky Charm (16/1), Hanakotoba (20/1), Mysusy (20/1), Claires Choice (50/1), Farump (66/1)

Verdict

With over half the field making their debuts there may be something lurking amongst that group although it looks best to rely on experience here with COME ON LEICESTER. She emerged with plenty of credit from her debut run (form franked) and looks to have the ability to win this. Kadiz will appreciate a return to these conditions with a hood going on for the first time and she’s another who can put her previous runs to good use especially her promising debut. Elieden looks another who has some potential with Implicit and Hanakotoba the most interesting of the newcomers.
