Likley to go off in front and try and hang on. Dropped 5lb since last outing and shorter trip shouls help so is no forlon hope under good apprentice rider.

Failed to score for Hugo Palmer and has looked regressive in three outings for current handler. Handicapper helps by dropping him further 5lb and connections reach for blinkers but it would still take a leap of faith to support him.

Poor draw and never got into it at Windsor latest having run satisfactory races on previous two starts. Continues to drop in the handicap so any market interest would be a good sign.

Missed break and always behind on seasonal reappearance and would have a squeak off this mark if back to best form. On balance others are preferred though.

Veteran who hasn't really fired on all cylinders for some time and is dropping down the grades as a result. Sure to try and lead but not so sure to still be there where it matters most.

Old timer who very much caught the eye returning from more than two years off to shape well over C&D recently. Changes yards last week and is only ride of the day for good jockey. Looks very interesting.

10lb out of the handicap but went close at 100/1 over C&D last time having shown precious little form in previous outings. Chance if that wasn't a flash in the pan now running back off her correct mark.

Won over C&D nearly five years ago but seems better these days on the Fibresand at Southwell. Hasn't been seen since August so more than likely to improve for this outing.

Twice in last four starts has faded inside the distance here over extended mile. Drop back in trip should help and has a fair draw so is not without a chance.

Placed four times from five starts for Lee Carter last term but has finished last on both starts for current yard. First time tongue tie and blinkers now applied suggest a measure of desperation.

Stays up to a mile and ran fair race here over extended mile last time. 1lb lower now and champion jockey is 2-9 from yard suggesting connections are hopeful of a bold bid.

Drop back to 6f last time didn't work so back to more suitable trip here. Ran well enough over C&D in January but on balance looks set to find this plenty tough enough depite getting weight from most of her rivals.

Forecasts

Spryt (5/2), Final Attack (3/1), Fairway To Heaven (6/1), Picks Pinta (8/1), Ruled By The Moon (8/1), Moonbi Creek (12/1), Tisa River (14/1), Lewinsky (22/1), Fossa (33/1), Bertie Blu Boy (33/1), Suni Dancer (33/1), Home Again (40/1)

Verdict

There's a suspicion that one or two in this race might have been plotted up for this so it might turn into quite a lively event. It was hard not to notice the very promising return run of MOONBI CREEK here last time and he must have a chance if he doesn't 'bounce' He is Rab Havlin's only ride of the day. There are plenty of alternatives, including Spryt and the top weight Ruled By The Moon. Fairway To Heaven and Tisa River are other potential candidates.
  1. Moonbi Creek
  2. Spryt
  3. Fairway To Heaven
