Successful over 7f at Brighton (good to soft) on his final start at two-years-old, shaped nicely on reappearance at Kempton and luckless Pontefract run since likely best forgotten. Retains potential.

Seven-race maiden, letting backers down on more than one occasion. Did shape well on turf bow at Leicester (7f, heavy) last month. Blinkers added and up in trip, capable of winning soon.

Six runs for Charlie Hills last year failed to see him making any progress. Has joined a new handler over the winter and one to monitor in betting / runs for now.

Debut here over 6f (good) last June was packed with promise but didn't repeat in two further outings. Bit keen on recent reappearance at Brighton (7f, good to soft), gets a hood now in bid to settle down.

Ten-race maiden, mostly been a struggle in handicaps so far though did go close last summer over 6f at Yarmouth. Has benefit of recent AW spin for fitness.

Filly is lightly-raced and shaped nicely on her return over 7f at Kempton last time, goes up in distance for switch to turf and promising run not discounted.

Lightly-raced maiden, finished down the field in C&D handicap debut last time out. That was his seasonal bow, so should at least be fitter for the outing. Must improve.

Poet's Voice filly was easily fended off in all three maidens she contested last summer, returns to action here and handed a workable handicap mark potentially.

Delegator filly who is an 12-race maiden and now rated a stone lower than when first allocated a handicap mark in September 2017. Very poor last time on the AW at Kempton.

Verdict

A tough finale, NEW ORLEANS has not been the punters friend to date but did shape well enough last time at Leicester on turf debut. The addition of blinkers and this longer trip might prove enough to get him off the mark. Swiss Belle made a decent fist of things on handicap bow last time and is open to better things, as are Go Fox and Crystal Casque.
