Back To Balloo70
Age: 12|  Weight: 12-2| J: Madi Patzelt(7)| T: P Winks| OR:  102| D
33/1
Won twice last spring over this trip but paid the price with a sharp weight hike. Has struggled since but rating is now lower than last success. Has plenty of weight though offset by 7lb claim of inexperienced rider.
2
Horse silk
Mac Cennetig136
Age: 6|  Weight: 12-2| J: Miss Becky Smith| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  102WS
22/1
Beaten just a nose on final start for Joseph O'Brien in Ireland in October but has run poorly both starts for new yard. Has undergone a recent wind operation which may well help so worth checking for any market confidence.
3
Horse silk
The Blue Bomber17
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Andrews(5)| T: C Fryer| OR:  98| CD
5/2
Scored over C&D in March off 8lb lower mark and ran second either side of that success to confirm himself in rude health. Looks set to go well again and looks one for the shortlist.
4
Horse silk
Emmas Dilemma104
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Fergus Gregory| T: O Murphy| OR:  98
2/1
Makes debut for yard in very good form. Only modest on evidence of her performances in Ireland but change of scene often helps so worth considering on that basis alone.
5
Horse silk
Pronto Tontob159
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: Mr William Easterby| T: T D Easterby| OR:  97
9/1
Showed little in three novice hurdles and made no show on possibly unsuitable heavy ground on handicap bow at Sedgefield last time. Shrewd yard in fair form and may do better on this decent surface.
6
Horse silk
Slaney Craiglegacyh256
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Lorcan Murtagh| T: H Burns| OR:  93
66/1
Ex-Irish mare who remains a maiden after 1 2 starts for Elizabeth Doyle. Makes debut for new connections but yard hasn't had a winner for four years so appears to have a lot on her plate.
7
Horse silk
War At Seah,t165
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: James Bowen| T: A Stronge| OR:  95WS
11/1
Fair maiden on Flat for David Simcock, going close on a number of occasions at up to 1m2f. No show on either start over timber for new yard and has had wind op. Is also tongue-tied for the first time.
8
Horse silk
Great Colaci128
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: Ross Chapman| T: G Boanas| OR:  89
12/1
Three wins on the level over 7f and has looked a doubtful stayer in five outings to date over timber. Plummeting down the weights but a watching brief is best advised at present.
9
Horse silk
Port Lairge8
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-3| J: Jordan Nailor(5)| T: M C Chapman| OR:  75
80/1
Three years since the last of his four Flat wins at up to 7f and is 0-8 over hurdles for current handler. Doesn't seem to have a trip over timber and is hard to enthuse over.

Odds On Danp,t6
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-2| J: Aaron Anderson(7)| T: L Egerton| OR:  74| C| D
7/1
Veteran who has won twice over fences and returned from longer absence at Sedgefield in February. First run over hurdles when sixth in Hexham seller. Not without hope but may find a few too good at this level.
11
Horse silk
Early Boye/s80
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: A Crook| OR:  70
40/1
Beaten a long way in all four bumpers and all seven starts over hurdles to date. Imposssible to recommend. Runs from 2lb out of the handicap.
12
Horse silk
Rapid Fritzt28
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-0| J: Thomas Willmott(5)| T: V Thompson| OR:  69
22/1
Regressive 26-race maiden who has well and truly failed to live up to his name! 3lb out of the handicap and looks to have it all to do.

Forecasts

Emmas Dilemma (2/1), The Blue Bomber (5/2), Odds On Dan (7/1), Pronto Tonto (9/1), War At Sea (11/1), Great Colaci (12/1), Mac Cennetig (22/1), Rapid Fritz (22/1), Back To Balloo (33/1), Early Boy (40/1), Slaney Craiglegacy (66/1), Port Lairge (80/1)

Verdict

In a trappy contest THE BLUE BOMBER is a tentative choice. He has been in good form of late including winning over C&D so should give supporters a proper run for their money. Emmas Dilemma makes her debut for a yard in fine form and could attract market interest as she has some ability, while Pronto Tonto is worth a second glance and can be forgiven his handicap debut effort on bad ground. War At Sea and Back To Balloo are also worth considering in an open affair.
  1. The Blue Bomber
  2. Pronto Tonto
  3. Emmas Dilemma
