Fair efforts in a couple of bumpers prior to a heavy defeat at Cork (2m3f, heavy) last time out. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Failed to complete on his first four starts (two point-to-points and two maiden hurdles) and held in a bumper last time. Others make more appeal.
Struggled in maiden company so far and probably best watched on his first outing since finishing 12th at Leopardstown in December.
Promising fourth on hurdling debut in December and still held chances when falling at the last at Fairyhouse (2m7f, soft) last time out. Dropping in trip for this.
Yet to place in nine starts so far and finished a well beaten sixth at Ballinrobe (2m1f, heavy) over fences earlier this month.
Struggled in the main over hurdles and returning from a lengthy absence having been pulled up at Tramore (2m, good) in August 2016 when last in action.
Yet to win in six career starts and probably best watched on his first outing since joining this stable from Michael Winters.
Failed to trouble the judge in three starts over hurdles for his previous yard and probably best watched on his return from a break.
Failed to figure in five maiden hurdles but signs of improvement when fifth off a mark of 95 in a handicap hurdle over 2m here last time.
Well beaten on all six starts so far most recently when finishing 54L ninth at Down Royal (2m, heavy) in December.
Point-to-point winner and a promising fourth at Naas (2m, heavy) in February. Unseated rider having been headed at the last in a 2m maiden hurdle at Wexford (heavy) last time and he is one to note stepping up in trip.
Failed to figure in four outings last season and probably best watched having been beaten 85L at Fairyhouse last time out.
Fair efforts on his first two starts over hurdles last year but absent since finishing 65L behind the top class Samcro at Punchestown (2m, yielding-to-soft) in October.
Well held on two of her three outings so far and likely to be of more interest once tackling handicaps.
Fair form in bumpers but well beaten on hurdling debut at Punchestown (heavy) in January and it was a similar story back in a bumper the following month.
Forecasts
Plouios (9/10), Maple Lawn (8/1), Cote Tete (8/1), Montauk Flyer (9/1), Commandant (10/1), Cairnhill (16/1), Doctor P's Getaway (16/1), Yaiza (20/1), Grandads Choice (20/1), Meldrum Way (25/1), Touchedbyanangel (33/1), Oldcastle (50/1), Golan Diamond (66/1), Fiesta Forever (66/1), Central Court (66/1)
This looks a weaker contest than the one in which PLOUIOS unseated in last time out and he can get off the mark at the fifth time of asking over hurdles. Chief market rival looks likely to be Cote Tete, another to depart late on last time and he can claim second dropping back in trip while Montauk Flyer who showed improved form when switched to handicaps last time can take third back in a maiden contest.
- Plouios
- Cote Tete
- Montauk Flyer
