Sent off 100/1 and no threat in 1m Cork maiden on second start. Drops back in trip now but chances are minimal on form seemingly.

A 6,000 gns three-year-old Exceed And Excel filly, made fair if unexceptional start in 1m heavy-ground Limerick maiden last month and should do better for it.
Too keen to do herself justice in two runs last year, will have to find plenty improvement on seasonal return.

Nicely bred filly by Kheleyf out of an Acclamation mare related to multiple winners, doesn't inspire on basis of two AW runs late last year, including over this trip.

Big Bad Bob mare is a half-sister to 6f winner Louis Leroy. Booking of Declan McDonagh (6-27 lately) is a positive on debut.

A €14,000 yearling this Society Rock gelding is a half-brother to winner up to 6½f Mal And Dave. Bred to be speedy and worth a market check.

Fair effort on debut over 7f on heavy at Limerick, must improve and the drop back in trip isn't certain to bring that about. Interesting to see how market judges chance.

Epaulette colt is a half-brother to 6f/7f winner Haweeya. Better effort at Dundalk in March over 6f on AW but was tame on sole turf start and doesn't appeal for now.

Swiss Spirit gelding has knocked at the door on more than one occasion, including when runner-up in 16-runner Navan maiden last time. Should make presence felt once again and win seems to be coming.

Bated Breath gelding out of a Verglas mare racing in the colours of Group winners Sole Power and More Power. Fair start in Naas maiden recently, when sixth of 17, though work to turn form around with Hawaam.

Canford Cliffs filly. Half-sister to several winners over a variety of trips. Makes some appeal on paper ahead of debut outing.

Acclamation filly was sent off big prices here in two runs last year over 6f/7f and never in contention. Makes little appeal on that form now back from a layoff.

Invincible Spirit cost 100,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to several winners, notable newcomer from McCreery/Lee team.

Sent off 66/1 and well beaten in AW maiden at Dundalk over 7f last month. Needs to improve for the switch to turf if harbouring ambitions today.

Kodiac filly whose dam stayed further than this, though remained a maiden. She wears a hood on debut and yard have been amongst winners recently.

Le Cadre Noir filly, dam was 5f winner, first start here and market should provide more clues in regards to hopes today.

Cityscape filly who fetched €60,000 as a juvenile, which represented a considerable mark up on her price as a foal. Promising in both starts so far and should be able to get in the mix.

Verdict

SOFFIA just about shades the verdict on the basis of her close second at Navan when last spotted. If she's progressed over the winter then a race like this should be within her grasp. Hawaam was also second at that same track a mere 18 days ago and merits plenty respect while newcomers Excelling Spirit and Clifftop Dancer are worth paying attention to.
  1. Soffia
  2. Hawaam
  3. Excelling Spirit
