Still a maiden after four efforts in point-to-points. Starts life under rules for a new yard but likely to find this on the sharp side.

Well beaten in a bumper at Cork last month before winning a Maiden Point 11 days ago. Needs to improve on what we saw at Cork but top rider for these events booked.

€1,000 purchase who is a point winner. On pedigree this trip is likely to be on the sharp side and may need further than this to be effective.

Sixth on bumper debut and beaten a long way back in June last year. Second in a couple of point-to-points since the turn of the year but needs to show a good deal more to be in the shake up.

One bumper start when well down the field at Sligo last summer. Not shown much between the flags since and minor role is likely today.
Mountain high mare. Dam was a jumps winner in Germany and Italy. She's a half sister to US Stakes winner Sick As A Parrot. Trip should be no problem. Maiden between the flags and more needed.

Dam was a modest winner over hurdles. She was beaten a long way on bumper debut back in October. Improved in points of late but would need to take a big step forward here.
Cost £90,000. First foal. Related to jumps winers The Wicketkeeper and Las Zingarella. Likely type on paper and no surprise to see her go well for shrewd connections.
Two bumper runs don't amount to much. Still a maiden in points too and likely to find this tough going on first tules run since October 2016.

Made rules debut in a Bumper at Cork last month and despite finishing fourth was beaten a very long way. Needs to step up markedly on that to be taking a hand today. Blinkers go on first time
Milan mare. Half sister to Shanroe Society. Point winner makes rules debut today on first start for new trainer. Hood on for racecourse debut and needs to improve.

Black Sam Bellamy mare. Unraced dam is a half-sister to high class chaser Captain Chris. Shown very little so far in points and needs to do a good deal better.

Forecasts

Lorvon Pearl (6/5), Carrigmoorna Wood (4/1), Siege Of Tobruk (7/1), Conformist (10/1), Crystal Kate (10/1), Solas Me Suas (16/1), Golden Chance (16/1), Three Thirds (16/1), Bonnie Lily (25/1), Glorious Ziva (25/1), Moll Carty's Mare (28/1), Dubai Ash (66/1), Ruby On Broadway (66/1)

Verdict

Lots of guesswork involved here and the market is sure to be the best guide on what can be expected. Carrigmorna Wood was disappointing on her first bumper start but is surely capable of better than that and has the assistance of Derek O'Connor today. The token selection though is LORVON PEARL. She has shown plenty of promise in point-to-points and makes her rules debut today with Patrick Mullins booked.
  1. Lorvon Pearl
  2. Carrigmoorna Wood
  3. Three Thirds
