Starspangledbanner colt, cost £30,000 as a yearling. Dam a useful sprinter over this trip. Very green and well beaten on debut at Windsor just last week. Plenty more needed here.
Society Rock colt, cost 22,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a half-sister to two middle-distance winner. Yard's two-year-olds have been flying this year but this one well beaten at Salisbury on debut. Should improve but needs to.
Dragon Pulse colt, cost £65,000 as a yearling. Ran well on debut at Windsor but couldn't really build on that at Leicester last time. More needed.
Kodiac colt, cost 52,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a winner over further in Italy. Well beaten on debut at Leicester last month when never in contention. Expected to improve for a yard that have a fine record in this.
Sixties Icon colt, cost 21,000 gns as a foal and 50,000 gns as a yearling. Full-brother to a Listed winner who won over sprint trips and dam a winner over further. Yard do well in this race and at this meeting. Possibly second-string on debut.
Olympic Glory colt, cost 85,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to a juvenile sprint winner and dam a Listed winner. Well beaten on debut at Bath but better at Newmarket when second last time and form of that franked by third since. Obvious player.
Camacho filly, unsold at £4,000 at the Breeze-up sales. Half-sister to a sprint winner and dam a maiden. Others preferred.
Farhh filly, cost £10,000 as a yearling and £25,000 as a Breeze-up purchase. Half-sister to eight winners including a Listed winner over further. Dam a winner over this trip as a juvenile. Interesting runner.
Dandy Man filly, cost £24,000 as a yearling. Runner-up at Brighton last time. Likely to need more here.
Forecasts
Ynys Mon (11/10), Arcadian Rocks (11/4), Wedding Date (15/2), Finoah (14/1), Anthem of Peace (14/1), Swift Justice (16/1), Lady Kinsale (16/1), Awake In Asia (20/1), Elieden (66/1)
YNYS MON ran a fine race in defeat at Newmarket last time and given the form of that has been boosted since and there's likely to be more to come, he could be hard to beat from a nice draw (3). Tom Dascombe's pair - Swift Justice and Finoah - are respected given the yard's record in this race but Lady Kinsale shouldn't be written off if there's any market support.
- Ynys Mon
- Lady Kinsale
- Finoah
