Record looks rather patchy overall and not seen for quite some while having disappointed badly when last seen at Perth. Yard still not really firing and best watched for now.
Looking as though he's returning to some sort of form having run well off this mark last time at Haydock in a better race than this. Still above his last winning mark but will be dangerous if he gets into a rhythm; track should suit his run style.
Still to win over fences but has run some creditable races in what is a rather patchwork chasing career. Would have needed the run after a six month break last time and dropped a further 2lb in the handicap now.
C&D winner here in November off a 3lb lower mark he's made the frame in all three starts since although he was below form last time at Fakenham. Usually fairly reliable though although may need a couple to perform below-par to win again.
Already a C&D winner she followed that up with another win although she saved her best form for last time out at Cheltenham. Finished placed in a mares' Listed handicap on that occasion but needs to back that run up here; suited by a speed test.
Looked as though he might take a step forward for his comeback run last time at Kempton (well supported) and duly did finishing third. Bumped into two improving types there and allowed to run off the same mark (108) here.
Appeared to run well on his penultimate start although that form did have a rather dubious look about it and so it proved when he flopped last time out. Comes here with plenty of questions to answer off the back of that and others appeal more.
Has now on three occasions won back-to-back contests so the fact that he won at Chepstow last time over this trip should be noted. Has won off this mark before and looked in good shape during his last win and has to be respected here.
Given a stiff 11lb rise for his Exeter win over 2m2f which was a career best although it did looks a weak race. Ought to be able to cope with this mark but this is more competitive than his last contest and he will need to find more.

Masterplan (10/3), Gustav (4/1), Jarlath (5/1), Modeligo (6/1), Minella Scamp (6/1), Pretty Reckless (7/1), Under The Phone (7/1), Easy Street (16/1), Gun Shy (20/1), Lucky Jim (20/1)
An interesting affair for the grade with a few options which will include Minella Scamp if he were to take his engagement up under a penalty for winning at Towcester yesterday the better ground looking to suit. Modeligo is no stranger to landing back-to-back wins and Gustav should go well again despite the stiffer task. Pretty Reckless would enjoy this if it turned into a speed test as she’s a strong travelling sort with a turn of foot and Under The Phone lurks on quite an attractive mark. MASTERPLAN ran well in a much better race than this last time though and if he’s allowed to bowl along in front (a perfect scenario here) he will be hard to catch.
- Masterplan
- Pretty Reckless
- Under The Phone
