Ran well enough on debut at Yarmouth recently and should have come on for the experience. Not particularly well drawn but may not be far away at the business end of the contest.

Yard has made a tremendous start with its juveniles and remains in good form. Third when made favourite on debut at Windsor a fortnight ago, showing ability. Has to rate a contender on that evidence.

Interesting pedigree being by Australian Group winner out of a dam that has produced five winners, although none over sprint distances. Likely to improve over further unless market suggests otherwise on debut.

Debut for this first foal out of a modest dam who never reached a place. Represents first crop of decent sprinter Heerat. Yard not known for debut juvenile winners so is not expected to figure.

Daughter of Hellvellyn out of wining sprinter. Long odds and never figured when eighth of 11 over course and distance on debut and needs to improve significantly to come into the reckoning.

30,000 guineas daughter of Charm Spirit, is half-sister to two fair winners. Yard ticking over nicely and well capable of producing one on debut so a market check is certainly recommended.

€42,000 daughter of Camacho, she is a full sister to handicapper Freebe Rocks, winner twice already this year. Yard renowned for having juveniles more forward than most so has to rate a contender and may well go close.

Daughter of Kodiac cost £40,000 as a yearling. Dam is half-sister to a 6f Group 3 winner. Yard going nicley of late and holds entries in some valkable sales races later in season. Interesting.

Slowly away on debut at Beverley but stayed on well up the hill to finish fourth. Sure to have benefitted from that experience and northern yard rarely send runners to this venue so may prove to be a major player.

Bred to be fairly speedy but yard not known for having them ready to roll first time out. Should pick up a race in due course may have her work cut out today on debut.

Forecasts

Karalini (5/2), Signora Cabello (11/4), Queen Shaahd (7/2), Quick (7/1), New Queen (8/1), Popping Corks (8/1), Islay Mist (16/1), Lady Wolf (20/1), Smokey's Angel (25/1), Maid From The Mist (40/1), Maddfourmaggy (66/1)

Verdict

There are a host of unknown quantities in the juvenile fillies' event, but John Quinn's SIGNORA CABELLO showed ability on her debut in overcoming a poor start to stay on into fourth at Beverley a few weeks ago and can build on that promising effort. Karalini also shaped well on debut and is a big danger, while stable companions Quick and Popping Corks are both respected along with another interesting newcomer Queen Shahd. New Queen also represents a powerful yard and should be there or thereabouts.
  1. Signora Cabello
  2. Karalini
  3. Quick
