Stepped up on seasonal debut when winning over 5f at Beverley (good) last time out. Raised 8lb for that success and is one to note in this contest.
C&D winner on good ground in June last year but disappointing since including in two starts this season having had wind surgery last summer.
Fair efforts in defeat since winning on heavy ground at Pontefract last September. Remains on a mark 2lb higher than for that victory.
Sole success came on the AW at Dundalk for Michael O'Callaghan. Finished mid-division on debut for this yard at Ripon (6f, soft) last time and market support would be interesting here.
Winner on the AW at Wolverhampton in March last year and placed on turf since. Well held on debut for this yard last month and probably best watched at present.
Pleasing effort when 1L second at Ripon 96f, good) on stable debut last August. Held twice subsequently however and making his seasonal debut in this contest.
Surprise winner over 5f at Southwell last month and put in a fair effort in defeat over the same trip at Ripon (soft) subsequently. Has placed over this distance in the past.
Successful four times but most recent success came at Navan (6f, yielding-to-soft) in October 2016. Well handicapped on his best form but held on both previous starts this season.
Winner of eight of his 60 starts including off a 4lb higher mark over 6f at Ayr (good-to-soft) last July. One to note having caught the eye when fifth over 7f at Doncaster (soft) on seasonal debut.
Victorious three times over C&D in the past but most recent victories have come over further. Returning from a break having finished well beaten over 1m at Newcastle in January.
Has won twice over C&D in the past but was beaten 5L into fourth at Chelmsford when last in action in early November. Worth a check in the market on seasonal debut.
Broke his maiden over C&D on good-to-soft ground last August and has placed in handicap company here since. Wears cheekpieces for the first time having finished fifth at Thirsk (6f, good-to-soft) on seasonal debut a fortnight ago.
successful six times so far including over 5f at Beverley (good-to-firm) last September. More needed than when finishing 8L ninth at Ripon (5f, soft) on seasonal debut.
Improving with racing this season finishing 2½L sixth at Wolverhampton over this trip last time. Has placed off higher marks in the past.
Good effort in finishing fourth of 19 at Thirsk (6f, good-to-soft) on seasonal reappearance last month. Has won off this mark in the past and he is an interesting runner in this contest.
Forecasts
Ma Fee Heela (11/4), Rapid Applause (3/1), Dirchill (7/1), Inexes (12/1), Munfallet (12/1), Danish Duke (12/1), Khelman (14/1), Imagine If (16/1), Sfumato (16/1), Dandy Highwayman (16/1), Logi (20/1), Giant Spark (20/1), Full Intention (33/1), Mininggold (33/1), Alexandrakollontai (50/1)
KHELMAN was a notable eye-catcher on seasonal debut at Doncaster in March and he can register his first success of the season in this competitive sprint handicap. The selection has won over C&D in the past and looks capable of getting the better of last time out winner Rapid Applause who scored over the minimum distance at Beverley last time. Danish Duke showed plenty of promise on his seasonal debut and he can take third.
- Khelman
- Rapid Applause
- Danish Duke
