Without a win in four starts last season, but was far from disgraced and ended his campaign with a good third of 16 over 6f at this venue. Good prospects off 1lb lower with drop to minimum trip not a problem. Stable won this last year.
Has not won for some time, but ran a decent race to be a close-up fifth of 13 to Bahamian Sunrise at Epsom recently. Competes off 1lb lower and has to be considered if the ground dries out.
Winner over 6f at this track in October, but was behind Bahamian Sunrise, Shamson and Harry Hurricane on his seasonal reappearance at Epsom. Should be straighter for that run and underfoot conditions are likely to suit.
Returning from a break when a fair fourth of eight at Kempton last month. Likely to be sharper for that run and is 2lb lower. Versatile from a ground perspective.
Stable companion of Green Door who has a similar sort of chance after a fair third of eight at Windsor last time. Likes good ground so needs the sun to shine.
Behind Bahmaian Sunrise, Shamson, Harry Hurricane and Pettochside at Epsom on his first outing since undergoing wind surgery and being gelded. Should have come on that for that run and can do better off 1lb lower.
Touched off Shamson and had three more of these rivals behind when wining at Epsom last time. More to do at these weights and needs the ground to dry out, but is respected nonetheless.
Visored for the first time when strong at the finish and just behind Bahamian Sunrise last time. Every chance of turning the tables on 1lb better terms if the headgear works again.
Forecasts
Son Of Africa (7/2), Bahamian Sunrise (9/2), Shamshon (5/1), Green Door (6/1), Pettochside (7/1), Harry Hurricane (7/1), Leo Minor (10/1), Aleef (14/1)
An extremely tight handicap in which the recent Epsom contest won by Bahamian Sunrise looks pivotal. The runner-up that day, Shamshon, may come out on top this time and in doing so confirm the form with Harry Hurricane, Pettochside and Aleef. However, he may not be able to cope with the challenge of top weight Son Of Africa, who hails from last year's winning stable and ended last season on a positive note.
