Won a Tipperary contest on his second handicap start winning by a short-head. Possibly a sounder surface is more to the geldings liking.
Beaten favourite on his final start of the season in a 5f Dundalk handicap following a win over 6f in a Fairyhouse maiden. Will possibly need the run on return in first time hood.
Course winner who was beaten favourite last time out over a furlong shorter in April when finishing fourth of 16 following a win on seasonal debut in March. Improvement likely in first-time cheekpieces.
Beaten favourite on seasonal debut in a Navan handicap over 5f on heavy finishing a disappointing sixth of 10 runners. Unlikely to play a part here.
The loading and unruliness at the start appeared to have been addressed on seasonal debut when finishing fifth of 11 beaten 4¼L in a Navan handicap last month. One for the shortlist.
Fairly game sort who produced a solid and consistent winter campaign on the AW at Dundalk over the winter and went well last month at Navan when third of 10 on return to the turf.
Produced a couple of below-par performances last season including being well beaten in a Fairyhouse maiden in September. Cannot be trusted here.
Course winner who showed plenty of promise in two seasonal starts at Navan last month and can be expected to build on his second of 23 beaten ¾L two weeks ago.
Finished last season involved in a bunch finish at Naas when eventually finishing fifth of 15 just 1½L adrift of Vinnie's Wish at Naas. Disappointed and eased when beaten on first run of season at Leopardstown last month.
Won a Dundalk handicap on the AW last month before struggling off a new mark at the same track earlier this month. Inconsistent and others preferred.
Won a Listowel contest over this distance in September but produced two below-par runs in October. Back on a winning mark here and worth a market check.
Forecasts
Comhghairdeas (7/2), Aspen Belle (5/1), Luzum (6/1), Bluesbreaker (8/1), Truffles (8/1), Dandyman Port (10/1), A Likely Story (10/1), Castrogiovanni (11/1), Solomons Seal (12/1), Count Of Carabass (16/1), Bronze Age (16/1)
Bluesbreaker likes to get on with things and will possibly lead the field in the early stages from stall five. The six-year-old could have a couple in trouble some way out now racing 7lb lower than his last winning mark. The Dermot Weld-trained LUZUM found the sharp trip too much last time out and can go well stepping up in distance while the improving pair Comhghairdeas and Castrogiovanni - formerly with Joseph O'Brien - can battle for the minor honours.
- Luzum
- Comhghairdeas
- Bluesbreaker
