Ended the season on a low note when finishing last of 16 beaten 38L when last seen in October. Going and still racing off an 8lb higher mark than last win are strong negatives here.
Raised 6lb for a 2½L victory at Limerick over 1m3½f last month. Could be the one to give Hareth the most to think about.
Winner on two occasions from seven starts on heavy ground and has won here over timber. Place claims if on a going day.
Failed to build on a second of six at Killarney last May with two below-par displays over the summer on the Flat. Acts on the ground and has place claims on best form in first-time blinkers.
Has been left toiling in a number of dispiriting performances on the Flat and appears to need some relief from the handicapper.
Popular veteran who now races off a 22lb lower mark than his last win in November 2013. Will relish the conditions but hard to fancy nowadays.
Finished second of seven at Leopardstown last summer over 1m6f on good to firm ground. Last seen finishing last of 11 on the AW at Dundalk in September and easily passed over.
Course winner at this meeting 12-months ago on good to firm ground over a similar trip. Has struggle on this surface and may need it quicker.
Winner of one of his four starts on the Flat winning a Ballinrobe maiden last July over 1m7f. Could well appreciate the ground here.
Winner when not unbacked on first run on the Flat when landing a Navan handicap last month. Another bold show looks likely.
Forecasts
Hareth (11/10), St Lawrence Gap (9/2), All's Quiet (9/1), Laid Back Luke (10/1), Aydoun (10/1), Rashaan (12/1), Mountain Rock (12/1), You Can't Catch Me (14/1), Sir Ector (50/1), The Graduate (50/1)
Laid Back Luke likes to get on with things from the front and is likely to lead the field here in the early stages. Aydoun in first-time blinkers and last time out winner St Lawrence Gap can both give HARETH plenty to think about in the closing stages as he looks to build on an impressive win at Navan last month.
- Hareth
- St Lawrence Gap
- Aydoun
