Sixties Icon colt who was a bit one paced on debut at Newbury (5f, good to soft) when plugging on for fourth. Should come on for that experience but likely to need a bit further in time.

Cost £23,000 as a yearling. Dam was a winner over 6½f. Likely type on paper and market watch essential on debut.

Cost just £4,000 as a yearling. First foal from un-raced dam. Others appeal more on pedigree.
Well beaten on debut in the Brocklesby and not much better on second start at Kempton (5f, AW) last time. Likely that handicaps may be more of a target further down the line.

Cost 30,000 gns as a yearling but beaten a very long way over C&D on debut nine days ago. Needs to take a major step forward to be winning this.

Cost €70,000 as a yearling and has a speedy pedigree. Very likely to know his job on his first start for powerful yard that had the winner of this race in 2016.

Price rose from €15,000 as a foal to £25,000 as a yearling. Second foal to un-raced dam. Sire tends to produce speedy types and is of interest on debut.

Forecasts

Port of Leith (9/4), Azor Ahai (5/2), Celebrity Dancer (5/1), Zip (13/2), Cemetry Wall (8/1), Skeetah (8/1), Zimazamazoom (14/1), Geography Teacher (25/1), House Deposit (50/1)

Verdict

It would be no surprise to see a bit better from Azor Ahai on his second start but there is every chance that this will go to one of the newcomers. Money for Celebrity Dancer would be interesting. Zip should know his job on debut but this can go the way of PORT OF LEITH. The son of Dark Angel has a nice page and should be ready to go for a yard that won this race in 2016.
  1. Port of Leith
  2. Zip
  3. Celebrity Dancer
