Scored at Wincanton in January but a little patchy since then, pulling up once and falling last time out, but in between running a fair second back at Wincanton. Has winner's penalty to concede but shouldn't be far away.

Free going sort got off the mark with an all-the-way win at Hereford last time out on testing ground. Seems to have turned a corner and a decent effort is quite possible.

Raced three times on Flat for Alan King without making much impression, but made a winning start over hrudles at Hereford recently for new connections and there may be more to come so worth a second glance.

Schiaparelli gelding whose dam is an unraced sister to the very talented Alberta's Run. Showed very little in Kempton bumper last month and appears to have a mountain to climb on that evidence.

Formerly fair middle distance handicapper wining races for three different handlers, but sold very cheaply in 2015 . Raced twice over hurdles that year including distant fourth to high class Might Bite. Absence to overcome but worth a market check.
Represents last year's winning yard but this well bred ex-Irish Flat maiden has shown little in trhee starts over timber for current yard. Others are more preferred.

11/10
Yet to win in eight starts under Rules but has run well a number of times in defeat. Outclassed in Grade 3 last time but this is more his level and he may well be very much in the thick of the action.
Showed a hint of ability on only start so far when seventh in a Market Rasen bumper a couple of weeks ago. Hurdles debut now and may improve so well worth noting any market move in his favoru.

Two runs so far in bumpers not a great deal of promise overall and was tailed off in heavy ground last time at Warwick. Hard to fancy on hurdles debut.

Forecasts

Shanroe Saint (11/10), Jurby (3/1), Totterdown (7/2), Royal Sunday (8/1), Primogeniture (25/1), Sea Of Mystery (28/1), Any Minute Now (40/1), Lucky Accord (66/1), Cut And Run (100/1)

Verdict

There are a number of contenders here but SHANROE SAINT has generally run well in fair handicap company and should find this a less daunting task so can get off the mark at the ninth time of asking. Both Jurby and Totterdown are respected along with the potential improver Royal Sunday, while any market interest in Any Minute Now or Primogeniture would certainly be interesting.
  1. Shanroe Saint
  2. Royal Sunday
  3. Jurby
