Been off the track for almost a year which is a worry once again (had plenty of absences). Smart hurdler on his day so despite his absence, he is not handicapped out of things and he won this last year.
Nicely bred individual who took his time to find his feet for this yard. Two recent wins at Chelmsford and Southwell shows they may now have found the key to him and he goes well for this rider. Interesting on return to turf.
Long losing run stretches all the way back to 2014 but is slowing slipping to a very tempting mark. So whilst it would be no surprise to see a return to form at some point, he was a long way behind Western Way at Wolverhampton latest.
Won off 4lbs lower mark at Ayr (1m5f, heavy) on final flat start last season. Hurdling debut did'nt go to plan when last seen in November when breaking a blood vessel. Off the track since and needs to prove welbeing here.
Has saved his best efforts to date for the AW. Possible he is in the grip of the handicapper but has time on side.
Believed good enough to contest a Grade 2 in North America. Been kept to the AW so far in GB and has been a shade disappointing. Mark is slipping though and market move on first turf start over here would be significant.
Stays pretty well and conditions should be no problem. Turf mark is lower than on the AW and has claims.
Doesn't look particularly well handicapped at the moment and was a long way behind Western Way at Wolverhampton latest. Work to do to reverse that form.
Up in trip to 2m and a return to turf proved to be the catalysts for his Chepstow win when he was heavily eased. Not in the same form in two runs since and now 8lb above that win which makes life tough here.
Has suggested a couple of times that this trip stretches his stamina. A long way behind Azam when they clashed at Southwell and work to do to reverse that form.

Western Way has had a good winter and the quicker they go the better for him. Azam is another to have turned the corner and could be a danger to all especially if he gets a soft lead. The suggestion is GALILEO’S SPEAR who was thought good enough to run in a Grade 2 in North America and has dropped to a very tempting mark for his first UK turf start.
