Returned from 15-months off with below-par effort at Doncaster in January. Perhaps will need better ground than seems likely here to be seen at best and, overall, doesn't appeal now.
Rapidly improving, completing hat-trick with game success at Sedgefield (2m4f, heavy) last month. Up another 9lb on first start for new trainer but longer trip a plus and could be up to carrying on the winning streak.
Won this race a year ago off a mark of 98, struggled in two further C&D outings thereafter and off 325 days ahead of this. Opposed on balance but worth market check.
Hasn't made much of an impact in two Hunter Chases for Gavin Cromwell and remains unplaced in 11 starts under rules. Yard quiet lately and looks an unlikely winner.
Improver effort when second in Hereford handicap hurdle last month (2m3½f, soft) sporting first-time cheekpieces (retained). New trip is an unknown but can be given a chance.
Winning hurdler on good to soft ground in June 2016 at Worcester (2m7f) but absent for well over 18 months prior to finishing last of seven at Ayr last month and bit to prove now.
Won four of last five chases for Mickey Hammond a couple of seasons ago but appears on the downgrade and has shown little of note last two seasons. Impossible to recommend on that evidence.
Three-time C&D winner, most recently in May 2016, has been well below best in runs this term though shaped a bit better at Kelso most recently. On a lenient mark if able to produce anything like best form.
Connections must be beginning to wonder if his day will ever come (now 0 from 26), but he ran well enough when beaten just 1¼L by Nefyn Bay at Musselburgh in February (3m good to soft). Comes with his risks.
Has just three wins in 44 career starts over hurdles and has never truly been the most genuine sort. Winless sequence dates back to 2015 and should continue here.
Maiden point-to-point winner on soft ground in March 2016, but hasn't seen much racing for her age. Poor again at Newcastle when upped to this sort of trip and others are much more likely.

The Jam Man (2/1), Jimmy Bell (5/1), Late Date (5/1), Dotties Dilema (6/1), Maraweh (15/2), Le Braye (9/1), Sporting Milan (10/1), Dutch Canyon (18/1), Auldthunder (25/1), Andhaar (28/1), Ruaraidh Hugh (33/1), Play Practice (50/1)
THE JAM MAN is seeking a four-timer here on first start for his new yard. Despite going up another chunk in the ratings, this return to a longer trip should suit and he is fancied to oblige once more as he meets a moderate looking bunch today. Jimmy Bell with the addition of this headgear last time and could offer more upped in trip while last year's winner Late Date needs a market check on his return to action. Dutch Canyon remains a maiden but ran well at Musselburgh last time while three-time C&D scorer Maraweh is very handicapped on his old form.
