Needs to introduction around here with five C&D victories to his name although he's not won for a while now (11 starts). Not quite the force of old but not one to ignore at this 0-95 level and won't be a surprise to see him competitive over this C&D.

With four C&D wins to his name he's shown some good form around this course over the winter. Flying rather high on his last visit here he wasn't up to the task but will be better back in this grade despite being 8lb above his last winning mark.

Has been capable of some useful form in the past but is starting to look rather awkward now and a hard ride last time. Slow away he went with little zest and others make more appeal given his current demeanour.

Got back to winning ways last time over this trip at Kempton off a 3lb lower mark. Very much had the run of the race on that occasion and will need similar circumstances if he's to follow-up that win.

The majority of his wins have come over 7f (has won over this trip) and he looks capable of winning off marks such as this. Raced rather freely last time but appeared unsuited by a rather slow gallop; will need a faster pace to be seen at his best.

Course winner who looks in good heart although most of his recent good form has come on the Fibresand. Just a slight doubt about him over this trip though with his best form coming over 7f.

Four times a C&D winner the last of those came over a year ago although he did win at Kempton on his very next start. He remains 6lb above his last winning mark and shaped as if he amiss last time finishing last of 8.

Turned in his best performance last year when winning at Newbury over 1m2f off a 2lb lower mark and running well when last seen in a race that didn't pan out for him (fared best of the hold-up horses). Returns from a break and wind surgery.

Four times a course winner but all those wins have come over shorter (7f) and he's not been seen over a mile since May 2016. Ran poorly last time but has more good runs than bad ones to his name over the winter although this mile may test him.

Not seen since last November when performing with credit in a Listed race. Two handicap wins had preceded that run but she does have to cope with a 9lb higher mark here on her return and may find this just a little too tough.

Came on for his reappearance over C&D off this mark last time but that showed how little he has in hand at these weights. Remains 4lb above his last winning mark and needs a few to run below-par to make the frame.

Forecasts

Holiday Magic (5/2), My Target (9/2), Unforgiving Minute (6/1), First Selection (8/1), Chevallier (8/1), Rinaria (10/1), Breden (12/1), Wink Oliver (16/1), Franco's Secret (20/1), Shyron (25/1), Believe It (25/1)

Verdict

The best quality race of the night with plenty of course form on display and four C&D winners and MY TARGET who wasn’t beaten far on his last start here looks as though he may well be able to add another Lingfield victory to his CV. Unforgiving Minute needs a good gallop to aim at to be seen at his best a facet of the race he didn’t get last time while Believe It will be seen as his best if he can get a relatively easy lead. Chevalier will appreciate the drop in grade despite now being off a rather stiff mark but he’s always shown his best around here isn’t one to ignore. Holiday Magic is another who has been running with credit but will need to cope with the change of surface and the trip.
