Maiden claimer winner at Dundalk for Michael Halford last year and built on a solid third at Wolverhampton (7f) when catching the eye in finishing sixth at Kempton subsequently. Returning from a break in this.
All four victories have come on turf and he ran well to finish fourth over 7f at Newcastle last time out. Cheekpieces reapplied that day are retained for this contest.
Successful twice over 6f at Wolverhampton this year most recently on his penultimate outing. Has since finished third over the same C&D and he has placed over this distance in the past.
13 race maiden and held in an amateur riders contest at Southwell when wearing a visor (absent here) for the first time earlier this month. Others make more appeal.
Five time winner over around 1m but struggled in two starts early last season and hasn't been seen since finishing 13th at Beverley (good-to-firm) nearly 12 months ago.
Made a promising debut for this yard when finishing third over 5f at Newcastle last month. Races off the same mark here and interesting stepping up in trip.
Southwell handicap winner over this trip when making his debut for this stable in January. Has run well in defeat twice since and he is worth a check in the market on his return to the turf.
Maiden winner over C&D in a four runner contest on debut last August. Fair efforts since including in first time cheekpieces (replaced with a visor for this) last time out. Dropping in trip for this.
Successful off this mark over 6f at Thirsk (good-to-soft) in June last year and has placed off a higher mark since. Interesting to see how he fares stepping up in distance.
AW winner at Kempton as a two-year-old but struggled since including over 7f at Newcastle in February. Others have a more obvious chance in this.
Victorious over 6f on soft ground here on his final start of 2017 and made a winning reappearance when victorious over the same trip at Thirsk recently. One to note under a penalty having run well over this trip in the past.
Placed twice in four starts including over this C&D since winning a 6f handicap on soft ground here last July. Races off a mark 1lb higher than for his most recent success.
C&D winner off a 5lb lower mark on good-to-soft ground last September. Has since placed on heavy ground over 1m and she is an interesting runner on seasonal debut.
Successful three times on turf and she made a pleasing reappearance when finishing fourth on the AW at Southwell earlier this month. Wears a visor for the first time on this occasion.

Redrosezorro (9/4), Spinart (4/1), Presidential (15/2), Someone Exciting (9/1), Smugglers Creek (10/1), Clergyman (12/1), Cupid's Arrow (12/1), Essential (16/1), Coviglia (16/1), Captain Bob (20/1), Glorious Rocket (20/1), La Sioux (25/1), Uncle Charlie (33/1), Arcane Dancer (33/1), Red Charmer (50/1)
Trainer Eric Alston has his string in good form with a 40% strike-rate (2/5) in recent weeks and his REDROSEZORRO can follow up his recent Thirsk victory by defying a penalty in this competitive apprentice handicap. The selection has won and placed here in the past and he looks capable of getting the better of Clergyman who is another to have run well at this course in the past while February's Kempton eye-catcher Smugglers Creek can claim third on just his second start on turf.
- Redrosezorro
- Clergyman
- Smugglers Creek
