Handicap debut after two impressive wins. Maiden win hasn't worked out well but left that behind with a hugely impressive win with plenty in hand last start under today's jockey. Well backed for both wins and looks an exciting prospect.
Probably needed the run on his return and was eased when beaten. Gets a welcome drop in grade but remains on a high mark following his four wins in lesser company last season.
Twice raced in Listed company last season before welcoming the significant drop in class to win an AW maiden on her fourth start. Flashed her tail there but still found plenty for pressure and interesting on her return.
Awarded the race after significant interference on her last start following a maiden success. Seemed to appreciate the step up to this distance there and likely to improve over further in time. Well regarded and likely more improvement to come.
Last Flat win came over this distance and in this grade off 3lb lower. Returns fit from hurdling but likely to find a couple more progressive off this current mark.
Only once placed in eight starts on the turf and all three wins have come on the AW. 4lb ease in the weights will help but is often slowly away and will find this a tough task.
Should improve for return to action on the AW following a break where she hung left. Lightly-raced and course form in two starts is encouraging having won and placed a neck second. Has to be considered.
Poor strike-rate and not overly well handicapped due to mainly consistent form. Suited by the step back up to this trip when running on last start but likely to find a couple too good again.
Forecasts
Mordin (13/8), Crimson Rosette (9/4), Voi (7/1), Swilly Sunset (10/1), Giveaway Glance (12/1), Shamrokh (14/1), Bluff Crag (16/1), Ciaoadiosimdone (20/1)
Ciaoadiosimdone has plenty of improvement to come on her seasonal reappearance and will be interesting if there is market support while Crimson Rosette also finished her last campaign on a high and was always likely to make a better four-year-old. MORDIN has looked potentially much better than this grade in his two wins and this should be well within his capabilities under his top class and in form jockey. Voi has shown a clear preference for this track and looks a solid each-way hope.
