Horse A-Z
Doyen gelding, cost €24,000 as a yearling. Related to a bumper winner. Yard can reveal expectations.
Fame And Glory gelding, bought for €21,000 as a foal and £100,000 as a three-year-old. Dam a sister to a 3m hurdle winner. Fascinating runner for a yard that can ready one for debut.
Unraced son of Jeremy purchased for €22,000 at the sales last June. Half-brother to AW bumper winner Flash The Steel. Unbeaten and unfancied on debut. Others make more appeal.
Unraced son of Montmartre and is a half-brother to winning hurdler/chaser Chita Magnetic. Well beaten at Downpatrick on debut last month. Needs plenty of improvement.
Spirit One gelding out of a Northern Crystal mare related to multiple point-to-point winner Monsieur Gibraltar. Well beaten on debut last month and may do better given more time.

Doyen gelding, cost €150,000 as a three-year-old. Half-brother to a winner and dam a half-sister to a winner over similar trip. One of three in the race for his trainer and could well be the first-string. Should be ready first-time up.
Gelding by Trans Island out of a Fair Mix mare notable progeny include John O'Shea's multiple hurdle winner Kanpai in 2006. Looked in need of the experience on debut last month and will have to have learnt plenty in a short space of time.

Presenting gelding, cost €48,000 as a foal and €75,000 as a yearling. Related to the exciting prospect and bumper winner Brahma Bull. Yard won this last year but Final List likely to be yard's first-string.
Stowaway gelding, cost €16,000 as a foal. Half-brother to two NH winners. Yard flying in recent weeks including winners in this sphere. Worthy of plenty of respect.
Fame And Glory gelding, cost €20,000 as a foal and €3,000 as a three-year-old. Dam a winner on Flat. Recent sale price a little off-putting but eye-catching jockey booking.
Malinas gelding. half-brother to two-time winner Inflexiball. Yard have a low strike-rate in bumpers but showed plenty of promise on his first two starts, including at Cheltenham when runner-up in January. Should be thereabouts upped in trip.
Black Sam Bellamy gelding, cost £80,000 at the sales last month. Half-brother to a winner and dam a half-sister to two bumper winners. Won his point-to-point well, though three of five failed to finish. Yard have a low strike-rate in this sphere.
Shirocco gelding, cost £30,000 at the sales last year. Dam a useful winner and half-sister to a Listed winner. Yard don't have many runners in this sphere but he's hard to put a line through.
Vinnie Roe gelding, cost €42,000 at sales last year. Half-brother to two multiple winners and dam a sister to two more winners. Ran a big race on debut at Thurles and intersting runner with top amateur booked if he can improve on the run.
Placed twice already but there's a suspicion she will need to take a step forward from those efforts here. Experience on her side though.
Casamento filly, cost 15,000 gns as a foal and 5,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to two Flat winners and dam a Flat winner in America and half-sister to a winner. Wouldn't appear to have the stamina for this.

Forecasts

In Your Shadow (11/4), Malinas Jack (7/2), Barrington Court (8/1), Final List (8/1), Vinnie The Hoddie (9/1), Adulterated (9/1), Sams Profile (14/1), Grand Mogul (14/1), Kalum River (16/1), Satoshi (20/1), Barntown (25/1), Aarons Day (25/1), Chin'up (40/1), Miss Cassy (50/1), Gateway To Europe (50/1), Edelweis De L'aube (66/1)

Verdict

Final List could be the pick of Gordon Elliot's trio in this with Katie Walsh booked to ride and he has an interesting enough pedigree here for the yard that won this last year. However, Noel Meade does well in this sphere and has been in fine form of late and IN YOUR SHADOW shades the vote. Of those with experience, Malinas Jack has to be of interest after a very promising effort at Cheltenham when last seen.
