Had a tendency to pull hard in his most recent start and one can only assume those traits have been eliminated. Trainer/jockey combo in fine form at the moment and yard like their winners here around this time of year.
Well behind and never a factor in two races since February despite finishing second last time out at Wincanton. Improvement needed to figure in this contest.
Yard have a decent record at this meeting in recent years but it may take more than first-time tongue tie to play a role here on first run since March 2017.
Weakened over 3f out on debut in a Taunton bumper in march on heavy ground last month. Unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Forecasts
Darling Maltaix (11/8), L'auberge Du Bois (3/1), Amzac Magic (7/2), Illtellmema (5/1), Whitley Neill (20/1), Sienna Royale (50/1), R Bren (200/1)
The Paul Nicholls=trained DARLING MALTAIX should get back to winning ways here. The Voix Du Nord gelding has not been seen since December but the yard have a good record at this meeting over the last four years and should continue in that vain here. Jeremy Scott's six-year-old L'Auberge Du Bois and Illtellmema in first-time hood can hit the frame.
