Well beaten in three novice hurdles since the turn of the year. Difficult to construct much of a case for the mare here.
Behind in a number of dismal displays last spring and much more of the same in a Chepstow novice handicap hurdle earlier in the month. Hard to fancy.
Course winner that has also won over the trip. Possibly found the heavy ground too much last time out here earlier this month finishing 25L behind Shoofly Milly failing to build on a win at Towcester in February.
Pulled up in three starts since the turn of the year and unlikely to play a part in the finish in this contest.
Has produced a number of gloomy performances over the last four months of the season. First-time cheekpieces unlikely to make much of a difference here.
Has taken a lot of racing on board since December and bar a win at Wincanton in February well beaten in most starts. First-time blinkers fitted but unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Beaten a total of 94L in his last two starts at Wincanton and Taunton towards the end of the year. Tough ask and others preferred.
Well beaten and no impression in three most recent starts and requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
Faller last time out when 7L clear and about to win at Taunton before tipping up two out. Claims if bring that form to the table.
Possibly didn't help to be vying for the lead when eventually pulling up last month following a promising run at Taunton a month before when finishing second of 11.
Forecasts
Gonnabegood (3/1), Breaking Ground (9/2), Admiral Blake (6/1), Ambion Lane (6/1), Georgina Joy (7/1), Ring Minella (9/1), Gaelic Flow (10/1), Solstice Twilight (12/1), Tis What It Is (18/1), Mauna Kea (40/1)
The mare Georgina Joy likes to get on with things from the front and could possibly lead Ambion Lane and Gonnabegood through the early stages of the opening contest. The early clip could lead to a battle at the finish between the game Breaking Ground and course winner ADMIRAL BLAKE who was well in command last month at Taunton before tipping up two out.
- Admiral Blake
- Georgina Joy
- Breaking Ground
