Unplaced in three outings as a juvenile but looks type to do better this term. Top weight, but with just 4lb between top and bottom has claims if he's wintered well.

Went close at Brighton and Epsom last term so appears to like a track that keeps her interested. Started slowly but stayed on late at Lingfield last month after winter break and should find a race this season. One for the short list.

Not beaten far final two outings as a juvenile and first-time visor on seasonal return might just raise her game. Worth noting for any market interest.

Ran well when fifth on debut at Lingfield last summer then beaten favourite at Brighton soon after. Slow away but stayed on after meeting traffic problems on seasonal return recently and might go well from a decent draw.

Was crying out for a step up in trip last term and while this extra furlong will help he may do better over another quarter mile. Gelded since last start and represents yard that likes a tilt at the ring so keep an eye out for a market move.

Hinted at ability on all three starts so far and should be fit for handicap bow after a couple of runs last month. Step up in trip will suit.

Three starts last term for Nigel Tinkler, running well on second outing when fourth at Newcastle (AW). Kept on steadily into third on debut for new yard and extra two furlongs now should play to his strengths.

Has already run 14 times, but has won twice, including on heavy ground at Carlisle last term. Been busy on AW for current yard and there will be no fitness doubts for this filly.

Yet to reach a place in six starts to date but did run better on first three outings on turf than subsequent three AW runs. Good apprentice claims 5lb and not out of the reckoning on HQ effort last July.

Promising start last season when third in Newbury novice auction but failed to build on that. Again ran well after a break when fifth at Wolverhampton AW last month and not ruled out on that basis.

Scrambled home in Chelmsford 1m handicap on final start for Mick Channon and has run creditably on both starts so far for new connections. Shouldn't be far away if able to transfer those efforts to turf.

Generally disappointing last term, but has done better this year and won a Newcastle AW 7f handicap in first-time blinkers last month. Squeezed out at start on only subsequent start and makes long journey south to run in this event.

Nine-race maiden but went close last year at Chelmsford. Solid run back at Kempton last week when a decent third and comes into the argument if able to reproduce that level of form over an extra furlong.

One of stable's lesser lights on evidence so far but not disgraced on recent first run of the season when met trouble in running. With yard in scintillating form at the moment he cannot be completely overlooked.

Forecasts

Bombshell Bay (5/1), My Boy Sepoy (6/1), He's Our Star (8/1), Hateya (8/1), Carlini (8/1), The Night King (8/1), Naval Officer (9/1), Mabo (12/1), Macho Mover (12/1), Ruby's Gem (16/1), Tesorina (16/1), Rupert's Lass (25/1), Noteworthy (25/1), Powerful Society (33/1)

Verdict

There are any number of potential improvers and unexposed horses in this concluding event, but Jim Boyle's HATEYA with Adam Kirby on board looks the type to have on your side having run well on a couple of occasions last term. You can make a case for a host of others, including Carlina, Rupert's Lass and Tesorina, all toward the top of the handicap, while My Boy Sepoy, Noteworthy, Ruby's Gem and Bombshell Bay also have claims.
  1. Hateya
  2. Bombshell Bay
  3. My Boy Sepoy
