Novice hurdle winner at Catterick in January but below that at Southwell next time, and hard to blame the trip as he showed he stays that earlier. Tongue tie tried now but even so, tough task under a penalty.
Won on debut at Chepstow (heavy ground) last November but hasn't really progressed since then, although in truth has faced a couple of difficult tasks. Should go better back in novice company although likely quicker ground an unknown.
Sprang a 66/1 surprise at Towcester in November and no fluke about that win, but a bit disappointing last time out and has had a short break. Ground fine but whether this tight track will play to his strengths is another matter.
Showed he has ability with a couple of placings in bumpers but hurdles efforts have revealed little so far. May be one for handicaps further down the line.
Hasn't shown a lot in two starts, a final flight blunder sealing his fate at Wetherby last time. Best watched until showing a bit more.
Tailed off at big prices on both starts and needs an awful lot of improvement to get anywhere near the best of these.
Has shown bits and pieces of form in novice and maiden hurdles but was a bit below par when last seen out in February. Better ground here may help and he's one to consider at a price for each-way players.
Nicely bred and related to a few good jumps winners but hasn't really showed too much in three starts to date, although may find this a bit easier. Should improve at some point but may be best watched today.
His second to the useful Springtown Lake at Worcester last October puts him right in the firing line here, but his efforts since then have been patchy and he was well beaten in a handicap last time. Hard to predict, but chance on a going day.
Bumper winner last November and again ran well in a Jumpers Bumper at Kempton last time out, but worryingly his hurdles effort in between was well below par. Ought to do better and one to consider.
Has the form in the bank to win this but can throw in a bad one and a few too many seconds on his dancecard to be certain he'll put it in. Trip and ground both fine and on form the one to beat, but a degree of caution advised.
Has run okay without threatening on his last two starts and should definitely enjoy this step up in trip, but he does need to find plenty of improvement to challenge for the top prize.
Tailed off in a point-to-point on only start and on that, can't be entertained as the likely winner here.
Forecasts
Secret Investor (9/4), Peculiar Places (7/2), My Charity (13/2), Marley Firth (13/2), High Noon (8/1), Royal Magic (9/1), Jaunty Flyer (14/1), Dakkar Collonges (20/1), The Groovy Hoovy (33/1), Brascoe (50/1), Atomic Rumble (50/1), Carried Away (100/1), Change Ur Tune (150/1)
It's getting a little towards last chance saloon for SECRET INVESTOR already but there's no doubting he has the form to win this and it once again looks a very suitable opportunity to score. Peculiar Places has some good bumper form to his name and his hurdles debut is probably best forgotten about - he must be better than that and he can show it here. Dakkar Collonges, My Charity and Marley Firth can all throw down challenges for places.
