Half-brother to several winners from a yard that do well with their juveniles although he looks the stable second string here. Plenty to like about him on paper and may come on for the experience.
Cost €16,000 as a yearling (by Dandy Man) with the dam a winner at 1m4f and there's plenty of stamina on that side of the pedigree. Yard not quite firing on all cylinders at the moment.
Stable no stranger to getting first-time out juvenile winners and this one took a positive step forward in terms of price from foal to yearling. Half-brother to a juvenile 6f winner and one to watch in the market.
Dick Turpin colt whose dam was a 5f winner. Yard have been known to have two-year-old winners on their debut but this looks a tough ask.
The only runner with experience in this field he may be able to put that to good use having finished third on his debut on the opening day of the Flat season. Took time to learn what was required but will know much more now.
First foal out of a dam who was a maiden (stayed 1m4f) and she looks a little more stoutly bred than some of these. Looks to have a fair task on her debut against some powerful stables.
Half sister to a useful winner at up to a mile in Bing Bang Bong who cost €28,000 as a yearling. Faces some sharp types here and best watched unless there are the right market vibes.
Third foal whose price increased markedly as a yearling and is a half-sister to a 7f winner in Hartswell. Dam won as a two-year-old over 6f and she could prove quite sharp.
Stable not known for their first-time out juvenile winners and this second foal out of a maiden dam is likely to need the run against some speedier types.
Forecasts
Wasntexpectingthat (4/6), The Great Heir (7/2), Connaught Court (12/1), Dragon Beat (14/1), Lady Lavinia (16/1), Smart Illusion (16/1), Juals Spirit (20/1), Vintage Brut (25/1), Brambling (40/1)
Experience is often the key in juvenile races and WASNTEXPECTINGTHAT can put his gained at Doncaster to good use here against a field of unraced types. The Great Heir comes from a stable that are not unused to juvenile winners and he should run well along with Juals Spirit and Connaught Court with the market offering some valuable clues.
