Won over this trip (good to soft) at Catterick in October (from 8lb lower in first-time visor) and went close on soft ground at Pontefract next time. Returns from a break with stable's only recent runner having won. Considered.
Best juvenile effort was when winning here over 5f (good to firm) in September from 3lb lower. Couldn't repeat that over this trip on only subsequent start. Went well enough when fresh last term and handles good to soft, but has a bit to prove.
Won over 7f (good) at Haydock in June in novices' company but unable to make much of an impact over that trip or this in four more runs, the last three in handicaps. Drops another 3lb today but needs to get back on track.
Appeared to handle heavy ground well enough at Haydock (6f) in September and matched that effort when last seen at York in October. Initial handicap mark looks stiff enough on that evidence, however, so perhaps one to watch this time.
The best of his four runs last season for Hugo Palmer was the last of them (6f, Tapeta) at Newcastle in first-time blinkers. They are left off now on debut for this yard. Mark looks reasonable though he has it to prove in the ground. Market check.
Handled heavy ground well enough at Sandown (5f) in August and the only time he has bettered that there was also some ease underfoot. Gelded since last seen in November and dropped 3lb. Claimer up and market check looks prudent.
Looked moderate in four novices' events and a 15½L defeat on his handicap debut last season when with Clive Mulhall. This trainer may be able to improve this gelding whose sire won on good to soft and grandam acted on soft ground. Market check.
Put up much her best effort when beaten just over 3L in a Newcastle novices' event last time out. Now tries turf for the first time on her handicap debut from a fair mark. Has it to prove in these conditions and may be one to watch this time.
Failed to make the frame in seven starts for Mick Channon. A little promise of better on debut for this trainer. Now dropped another 1lb and would have a squeak from this mark based on two of her runs last year, though conditions don't look ideal.
Has so far looked very moderate in both novices' events and nurseries. Reappears here after a further 2lb drop puts him 5lb out of the handicap and looks up against it.

FORTUNATE VISION has some very solid-looking form, including with cut in the ground and he is taken to return with a win. She's Different is not ruled out if she can reappear at least as good as her best last term, while Life For Rent is respected as a winner on what is not the easiest of tracks for sprinters to handle. Billiebrookedit is one to note in the market given that he appears to handle the forecast ground, while Mount Hellvelyn is also considered.
- Fortunate Vision
- Life For Rent
- Mount Hellvelyn
