Cape Cross gelding, half-brother to Group 2 winner Usherette and dam a Listed winner. Looked green on debut but got the hang of things late. Yard do well here and first-time cheekpieces should see him improve, though he may need to in this line up.

Cape Cross colt, cost €90,000 as a foal and 85,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners over middle distances and dam a winner and half-sister to a winner over this trip. Respected, but yard's debutantes often need the run.

Teofilo colt, cost 40,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to a winner at around this trip. Dam a half-sister to Group-placed sprinter. Shaped well on debut at Kempton but much more needed here and may be more of a long term prospect.

Le Havre colt, cost €110,000 as a yearling. Dam a half-sister to two Group winners and a Listed winner over this trip. Had wind surgery before a moderate debut and others preferred here.

Sea The Stars gelding, dam a Group 3 winner over this trip. Yard's debutantes worthy of plenty of respect and he's the pick of the stable jockey but a poor sign he's been gelded already

Forecasts

Occupy (6/4), African Jazz (2/1), Guardsman (7/1), Stream Of Stars (8/1), Howman (9/1), Sleeping Lion (12/1), El Ghazwani (14/1), In Demand (25/1), Star Of Southwold (28/1)

Verdict

Ralph Beckett had a winner here on Wednesday and his colt OCCUPY was impressive on debut, he may progress now stepped up in trip given his pedigree. African Jazz should be more streetwise this time after looking green on his winning debut at Lingfield last month while Howman could be the main danger given his pedigree and the market will be the best guide to his chance.
  1. Occupy
  2. Howman
  3. African Jazz
