C&D winner in mid-February who lost little in defeat when readily brushed aside by the exciting Big Kitten next time out (novice stakes). Goes handicapping for the first time, with precious few negative markers.

Broke her duck in a modest 7f fillies handicap at Chelmsford late last month beating Eesha Beauty by 2½L. Raised 7lb for that success, and this straight mile trip is a whole new test of stamina reserves.

Canford Cliffs filly who has made all three career starts over C&D. Finished runner up on two occasions and certain to appreciate the switch to handicap company, but surprising if a few of the others aren't slightly better treated.

Bombed out at the end of a tough season at Chantilly in November (7f Listed, very soft), but on the up at a more realistic level in nursery handicaps prior to that start. 5lb above her last winning mark.

Beaten just over 2L by Dancing Bear Brave on her seasonal/stable debut at Chelmsford (1m novice stakes) earlier this month, she's quickly switched into more suitable handicap company.

Her form mightn't necessarily be the strongest on offer, and she's returning from a four month break, but at least it's evident that she handles Tapeta well. Worth another try beyond 7f, but others better equipped tonight.

Boasts plenty of experience and was placed twice in six starts for Richard Hannon prior to once more hitting the frame on stable debut (cost 25,000 gns) at Wolverhampton latest; beaten less than 2L by Zahraa.

Twice a beaten favourite in four turf starts as a juvenile, including on soft ground on her final start at Pontefract (1m) in October. Dropped 2lb in the weights for her AW/seasonal debut.

A much improved performer during the early weeks of 2018, developing into a solid 7f handicapper. Beaten just a neck by course specialist Lord Caprio over C&D last month, but 3lb higher tonight.

Headed close home when beaten ½L by Mabo over 7f here early last month. Races from a 2lb higher mark, but with the extra furlong potentially far more troubling than that marginal weights rise.

Forecasts

Trump Alexander (7/2), Lumi (9/2), Image (5/1), Shrewd Approach (5/1), Broken Wings (15/2), Elysee Star (15/2), Elixsoft (16/1), Puchita (20/1), Ideal Candy (28/1), Hyanna (33/1)

Verdict

Image will be a popular choice amongst the punters after winning well over 7f at Chelmsford recently. However, that wasn't the strongest of contests and with a 7lb rise in the weights, she's potentially vulnerable over this stiff straight mile. Stamina reserves are also a doubt for a handful of the others including Shrewd Approach and Elysee Star, but one horse who will see out the trip is the John Dance owned LUMI. She is a very straight-forward filly with plenty of natural ability, and she lost nothing in defeat to the exciting Big Kitten in a C&D novice event last month.
