Still a maiden and looks not better than fairly treated off a mark of 67 having had two runs so far this year. This is a slight drop in class and trip though and that may be in his favour with the cheekpieces going on for the first time.
Ran with credit on his handicap debut over 6f here matching the form he showed on his debut run. Hasn't lived up that sort of form in his next two runs making little impression in a 0-75 handicap over C&D; now off a career-low mark.
Wide draw unlikely to help that much and despite the 2lb drop from his handicap debut over a mile here he still looks to have work to do. Tongue-tie worn for the first-time on his last start remains but will need to show more dropped back to 7f.
Now with a new yard and blinkers go on for the first time as he makes his handicap debut after showing improved form in a seller over 7f late last year. Now back from a break he rather threw the race away last time and looks one to be wary of.
After a beak and being gelded made his handicap debut last time at Lingfield on the AW over 6f. Did show more there and looked to be near his best form but even off a 2lb lower mark remains only averagely treated taking a slight drop in class.
Back from a break she's given her second try in a handicap having only been beaten 1L on her debut in this sphere by one who was better than this level over C&D. Raised 3lb for that run she should be able to be competitive if ready to go.
Showed up well when second in a minor race on quick ground over 5f at Beverley in the summer before not quite building on that effort. His handicap debut saw him finish last (looked amiss) and hard to know what to expect now returning from a break.
Appeared to show only minor ability in two runs in France before being transferred to his current yard where equally he's failed to impress in two runs. His handicap debut over 6f on Tapeta was no better than his stable debut; best watched for now.
Looked the sort to be interest in handicaps given his three runs so far and looked one to note last time despite only finishing 9th over 6f. Travelled well there despite not getting a clear run and now makes his handicap debut off a decent mark.
Rather free-going type who could do with settling down a little bit but nearly stole a race over this trip from the front last time. Might not find it so easy to dominate a big field like this but will prove dangerous if he does settle better.
So far failed to live up to the form that he showed on his handicap debut over a mile (now off a 1lb lower mark). Yet to be seen out this year and there looks to be some confusion as to which trip to run him over having gone as far as 1m2f so far.
Had been some promise in his three runs in minor events but so far he hasn't been able to carry that over into handicaps. Struggling so far to live up to his price tag although he's back from a break and dropped to a lower mark here; poorly drawn.
Managed to finish 4th one her debut over 6f here in September but really hasn't progressed since. Even her handicap debut failed to see her make a step forward and hopes now pinned on 7f and a drop in the weights.
Still a maiden he's yet to show anything more than poor form although he was well backed when last seen over 6f at Ffos Las on heavy ground in September. Gelded since then and back from a break he's 4lb out of the handicap here.
Forecasts
Reverberation (2/1), Crystal Casque (6/1), Bombshell Bay (7/1), Rivas Rob Roy (9/1), Duba Plains (9/1), Bond Street Beau (12/1), Arnoul Of Metz (14/1), Kendergarten Kop (16/1), Johni Boxit (20/1), Conflagration (25/1), Directory (33/1), Rio Santos (33/1), Elite Shadow (40/1), Shamrock Emma (50/1)
Quite a few of these that have already run in handicaps have done so in slightly better grade and off higher marks and there’s a possibility that the handicapper is giving some of them a chance now. Crystal Casque wasn’t beaten far on her handicap debut by an improving sort and she would be one to note if ready after a long break. Duba Plains has been a little free in his races so far but wasn’t beaten far last time and if he settles and gets to the front he could be dangerous. ARNOUL OF METZ has always looked a handicapper in the making though and could well step forward on what he’s done so far on his handicap debut after travelling really well through his race last time.
- Arnoul Of Metz
- Crystal Casque
- Duba Plains
