Placed twice from six starts including when finishing runner-up off this mark over C&D penultimate start. Again ran well here last time and claims of being involved here.
Placed over an extended 1m2f here in October but held twice afterwards including over C&D. Won on the AW in France as a juvenile and shaped better over track and trip on return last month.
Has won four times around here in the past, including over shorter trip in February. Hasn't fared as well since, failing to see out 2m last time.
Nice-race maiden and has struggled over hurdles in recent times. Others have a more obvious chance on this occasion having failed to fire over 1m2½f here last time.
23 starts without a win now over jumps and on the Flat, beaten a long way over this C&D in January and no progress in three hurdles runs since. Hard to make a case for.
Roderic O'connor gelding ran on strongly to score over C&D last month, he has been raised 3lb subsequently but should be able to remain competitive.
Well beaten and no impression in four starts defeats here of late, step up to 2m didn't help last time and has improvement to find now dropped in distance sporting first-time cheekpieces.
Only one win from 13 on the Flat, coming at Gowran Park last July over 1m4f on yielding ground. Well held recently in 1m5f heavy-ground handicap at Navan.
Regular here and has been an admirable servant to connections, perhaps not the force of old but rated 3lb lower than when scoring over C&D in November and liable to give his running.
Beaten 4L over C&D last month in handicap here off this mark. Yet to win in six starts on the AW.
Successful on the AW as a two-year-old but well held here on two runs after return to the Flat last month and others have a more obvious chance today.
Forecasts
Duke Of Waspington (9/4), Schoolboy Error (9/2), Time For Mabel (6/1), Big Ego (13/2), Dixie Highway (10/1), Oromo (12/1), Shake The Bucket (12/1), Not Touch (12/1), Catchy Lass (20/1), Aurellia (33/1), Streak (50/1)
Not the most exciting contest and so it may pay to keep it simple and stick with SCHOOLBOY ERROR, who scored over C&D three weeks ago and looks sure to mount another challenge having been raised 3lb for that score. Duke Of Waspington has run a couple of promising race here of late and is entitled to throw his hat in the ring with Time For Mabel and course regular Shake The Bucket considered for places money.
- Schoolboy Error
- Duke Of Waspington
- Time For Mabel
