Formerly trained by Nicky Richards, he finished runner-up in Hexham novice hurdle but has been absent since November when a well beaten favourite back at same track. Returns following wind surgery and with first time tongue-tie.
Won four from 13 for the late Alan Swinbank but has clearly had issues and been absent for 23 months. Makes first start for Sally Haynes and a watching brief is advised unless market indcates otherwise.
Joined current handler from Gordon Elliott in November but didn't show much on first outing for new connecitons when never dangerous at Wetherby recently. Should be better for that spin though and improved dispaly not ruled out.
Yet to reach a place at long odds in four starts over timber but didn't run badly latest and looks the type who has enough ability to win a race of this nature. Whether it will be today remains to be seen.
Won at Huntingdon 1 months ago off this mark for Dan Skleton. Has shown promise on his three starts for new yard and probably failed to stay on latest outing. Seems a spring horse so worthy of some consideration.
Won over C&D in May 2015 and has run well twice at ths venue this season before disappointing at Ayr last time. Return here is a plus, so hailing from a strong yard he may well be in the shake-up.
Narrowly beaten at Wetherby last month before appeared not stay here over further last time out. Handles testing ground and has little weight so won't be too far away, all things considered.
Won a couple of point to points last season but hasn't fared well this term since undergoing a wind operation, pulling up on his last two outings. Very hard to enthuse over on that evidence.
Forecasts
Lastin' Memories (3/1), Make It Happen (10/3), Tetraites Style (4/1), Divine Port (6/1), Up Helly Aa King (17/2), Sierra Oscar (12/1), Towerburn (14/1), Boudry (14/1)
A chance is taken that BOUDRY will be better for his first run for new connections and can pop up at a decent price in an open affair. Make It Happen has strong claims and rates a danger along with the unexposed Tetraites Style, who returns from a wind operation. Lastin' Memories and Up Helly Aa King are others to add into the mix.
- Boudry
- Make It Happen
- Lastin' Memories
