Has won 2-5 between the flags this season and appears to be in fine form. Not disgraced when runner-up last time at Overton and represents quality yard.
3-4 in point to points and won impressively recently at Alnwick in two-runner affair. This is tougher but the potential is there and he might be decent.

Has won two point to point from 13 starts but was beaten a long way last time and may find this level plenty tough enough. Others make more appeal.

Three wins in point to points and ran satisfactory rac eat Hexham last June when third in novice chase, only to follow that by being tailed off in similar company on his following start. On balance, others have stronger credentials.

11 -race maiden under Rules but 2-8 in point to points to date. Narrowly beaten at Alnwick a fortnight ago and might not be far away this time.

Experienced between the flags wining four times, including at Alnwick last time out a couple of weeks ago. Wears first-time blinkers and interesting to see if he inspires any market support.

18-race maiden both under Rules and between the flags. Having first start for decent yard so some improevemnt not ruled out.

Forecasts

Diamond Brig (5/4), Whisperdale (9/2), Lough Derg Island (6/1), Chanceiton (7/1), Dynamic Island (7/1), For Yes (10/1), Steel's Cotton (20/1)

Verdict

CHANCEITON looks the safest bet in this hunter chase hailing from a top local yard and coming here in decent form. Diamond Brig has done very little wrong so far and looks a big danger, while any support for Whisperdale or Steel's Cotton would be worth considering.
  1. Chanceiton
  2. Diamond Brig
  3. Steel's Cotton
