Looks the one to beat on his C&D debut success in February where he stayed on well to get up close home. There could be more to come and he appears up to defying his winner's penalty.
Finished a long last on both previous starts in this sphere two seasons ago. Connections have to be admired for persevering but on all the evidence to date has little chance.
Arakan gelding who looks the type to do better in time over hurdles. Three runs in bumpers so far with his second effort at Sedgefield hinting at a modicum of ability. Much more needed now.
Tailed off over C&D on only previous start in December 2016 for Kenny Johnson and has first start for new handler here. Very hard to fancy.
£14,000 Tamayuz gelding makes racecourse bow. Related to a number of fair winners so any market support might be interesting in a race seemingly lacking much depth.
Muwatheeq gelding makes his racecousre debut here having cost just £2,400 at last year's sales. Stable comapnion of Muftakker. Not obviously bred to be a stayer.
Unfashionably bred Shami gelding who make little appeal on pedigree and come from yard not known for having its bumper horses ready to roll on debut. Faces a stiff task.
£25,000 Court Cave gelding making first racecourse appearance. Half-brother to four jumps winners and represents good yard. Top jockey booked so may well be ready to run a decent race first time out.
Second stable contender in this event and also a gelded son of Shami. Dam of little account but is a half-sister to Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup winner Reverence. That said, it is hard to see him being up to this challenge on debut.
Hinted at alittle ability when sixth of nine on debut at Doncaster and races now with a tongue-tie that may help his cause. More needed, but too early to write him completely out of the equation.
Hails from yard that has enjoyed a fine campaign and connections went to €62,000 to purchase this gelded son of Getaway. Jockey booking catches the eye too so one worthy of some consideration.
Beaten 60 lengths when lats of six on debut at Wetherby last month and a great deal more needed here to trouble the judge. Others make far more appeal.
€8,000 Stowaway mare whose dam is an unraced half-sister to champion hurdle winner Rooster Booster. Small yard not kown for getting one ready first time so on balance is best watched on racecourse bow.
Fair Mix filly hails from a shrewd yard. On paper doesn't look anything special but worth checking the market for any signs of confidence first time out.

ON THE ROX did it nicely when making a winning debut over this C&D two months ago and despite having to give away weight all round has a fine chance of following up. The dangers are likely to come from those without previous experience, principally the eyecatching The Very Thing and Roo Roo, both of whom have the pedigree and connections to suggest they might have ability. Sianes Star and Summer Lightning are others to monitor for any market interest.
