Won on AW debut over 6f at this track and has been placed twice since off higher marks at this venue. Finishes her races well, is worth a try over this longer trip and has to be respected.

In fine form with victories under this jockey on last two starts over this distance at Chelmsford and Kempton. Has gone up 9lb for those successes, but is in great heart and can make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick.

Off the mark at the 11th attempt (fifth on the AW) when successful over 6f in first-time cheekpieces at Wolverhampton with today's top jockey on board. A 3lb rise is fair, the headgear is retained and the extra furlong promises to suit.

Back-to-back wins over 6f at Chelmsford before finishing third of five over the same C&D off 12lb higher rating than for the first of those victories. Stayed this distance last season when trained by Jeremy Noseda.

Still without a win after 10 AW starts and was fourth of eight, following a break, at Chelmsford last time. Wears cheekpieces for the first time and looks to have it all to do against some in-form rivals.

Forecasts

Pride Of Angels (2/1), The Lacemaker (5/2), Sonnet Rose (3/1), Good Business (7/1), Emily Goldfinch (8/1)

Verdict

An ingtriguing fillies' handicap in which only bottom-weight Emily Goldfinch can confidently be opposed. Sonnet Rose should make a bold bid for a hat-trick, and Good Business and The Lacemaker have further scope for improvement. The selection, though, is PRIDE OF ANGELS, who has been running well at this venue and shapes as though this step up to 7f could suit her admirably.
  1. Pride Of Angels
  2. Sonnet Rose
  3. The Lacemaker
